Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be DLC
  • Piccolo on the Official Website (both English and Japanese) is labelled only as Piccolo. This means there is no Piccolo (Super) in the game, meaning there is no Piccolo to cover Super content. Furthermore, after the Master and Apprentice trailer, we've seen all of the moves that could be Piccolo's Blast 1, Blast 2, and Ultimate Blast; nothing implies this single Piccolo covers Super either. Add to the fact that GokÅ«, Vegeta, and Trunks are all confirmed to have multiple variants covering them at various points, and both Freeza and 17 are implied (being labelled Super on the Japanese website), this makes Piccolo stand out, and may confirm the situation of Super Hero's status.

Bardock will be from Dragon Ball Super: Broly/Dragon Ball Minus.
  • And the original Z Bardock will be a skin. This game is focusing on a lot of Super content, so they'll likely use the canon Bardock.
    • Unlikely. Simply because the game has shown so far that it is more than willing to make multiple different variants based on the eras of the show, and the 2 Bardock definitely fill the bill having a different design and personality. This on top of how the Bardock from Minus really hasn't shown much fighting skills to base an entire moveset on without taking heavy inspiration from the original version (at least until his appearence in the Granolah arc).

Dragon Ball GT and the non-canon movies will be DLC while the original Dragon Ball will be base game.
  • Dragon Ball doesn't sell as well globally, so it wouldn't make as much sense to make it DLC. GT, and the films, however, are popularly globally, and would likely sell very well as DLC. Additionally, it is likely that GT and the films are being cut for Super content.
    • It would be preferable if at least something from movies and GT was to be included in the base game anyway, considering that they have always been part of the saga. Plus it's not like Super content too wouldn't sell.

Piccolo will be able to transform into Piccolo (End).
  • Carrying on from an earlier theory, Piccolo will be able to transform into Piccolo (End) by merging with God mid battle. The Piccolo we have is only labelled Piccolo, not Early, Mid, or anything, which points to him being the only Piccolo in the game.

Manga content will eventually make it over as DLC.
  • Like Bleach: Brave Souls before it, eventually, an agreement will be reached that allows manga-only content to make it into the Sparking! Zero title.

Content from Dragon Ball Heroes will be DLC.
  • Alternatively, they could bring in characters and froms from Dragon Ball Heroes as DLC. In this way they would add content that would be genuinely new to the saga and that also mostly never appeared in the west, or in a big arena fighter game. There would be also a lot more room to chose from compared to movies and GT.

The game will feature the original anime soundtrack in the west too.
  • Considering that Sparking! ZERO is the first case of Ditching the Dub Names in the series, it may mean that they may also make it possible to bring over the soundtrack from the anime, assuming it will be used in the game to begin with.

Gohan (kid) will be able to transform into Great Ape.
  • A notable case of Gameplay and Story Segregation through the original trilogy is the fact that Gohan (kid) could never transform into Great Ape despite the games covering the istances where he did. Only kid Goku could transform into Great Ape during gameplay, despite the games never covering the moments where he did in the story. This game may be a perfect chance to fix that, and allow Gohan (kid) to transform into Great Ape during gameplay.
