Basic Trope: A character that can only move while unseen.
- Straight: Whenever she's looked at, Alice stops whatever she was doing and just stands still.
- Exaggerated: Alice completely freezes mid-action when looked at, and gets Un-Paused when looked away from.
- Downplayed: Alice prefers to stand still if she knows she's being looked at.
- Justified: Alice's species developed the behavior as a Mobile Shrubbery / Nobody Here but Us Statues tactic.
- Inverted: Alice causes anyone she looks at to stand still.
- Subverted: Bob looks at Alice and she momentarily pauses, but then continues what she was doing.
- Double Subverted: ...because Bob closed his eyes.
- Parodied: Alice is a privacy-obsessed Conspiracy Theorist who doesn't move when "they" are watching.
- Zig-Zagged: Alice is in the process of unlearning this behavior, so she does manage to move sometimes.
- Averted: Alice moves while being watched.
- Enforced: Alice was given this behavior so she'd be easier to animate.
- Exploited: Bob brings a mirror so he can make Alice look at herself.
- Defied: Alice wears an Invisibility Cloak at all times.
- Played for Laughs: Alice gets a Motionless Makeover.
- Played for Drama: Alice is relentlessly humiliated by an onlooker while she's helpless to do anything about it.
- Played for Horror: Alice is The Speedster and a Serial Killer. One blink could mean death.
- Deconstructed: Alice's handicap is crippling to the point that she is only an Unseen Pen Pal to the main characters. She effectively cannot enter any public space for any reason.
