As expected from a game revolving around Timon and Pumbaa, the Virtual Safari game is a great source of laughs.

• The first mandatory encounter is Timon trying to boast about the jeep's technology including a motion tracker. Pumbaa notices a dot approaching them very quickly... cue a ferocious rhino charging the vehicle, with Timon and Pumbaa too scared to do anything but scream for help until they finally drive away. During this, the jeep's DVD player even starts playing clips from the Lion king movie, including an excerpt of "Hakuna Matata" while the two scream in terror.
• If the player selects the right option for the drive thru, they get a menu with increasingly grim options for food.
  Pumbaa: Meerkat Tail on the Cob?! Warthog snouts and tusks?! Eww!!
  Timon: Meerkat-Mongoose pot pie-AHHH! It's US on the menu!!
  Banzai: (over the intercom) Welcome! Would you like to try our warthog special?
  • The menu also has very funny images for each menu option.
    • #1 is Timon in a burger bun, #2 is Pumbaa on a sandwich bun.
    • #3 is the Warthog Snouts and Tusks, showing a bunch of Pumbaa's looking scared (with a spicy symbol)
    • #4 is the Meerkat-Mongoose Pot Pie is Timon sticking out of a pot pie with a cherry on his head!
    • #5 is a big pie with Timon's fingers and tail sticking out.
    • #6 is the Meerkat Tail on the Cob, showing Timon strapped to a big skewer.
• After the pair escape the wildebeest stampede:
  Pumbaa: Say! Did you know that the other word for a wildebeest is a gnu?
  Timon: Oh gee, G-thank you for the little G-tidbit! We nearly just got squished here!
• When the pair are driving through the volcanic cave, Timon is desperately shouting directions to the driver. Well, he would be, if...
  Pumbaa: I thought you were driving!
  Timon: I AM!!
• After the end of the tour, Timon happily tells the audience to enjoy the rest of their day. But poor Pumbaa isn't having it.
  Pumbaa: Oh Timon! Is that all you're gonna say, after all we went through?!
  Timon: What? It was just a ride!
  Pumbaa: It was a ride? ... Oh!! I knew it was a ride! Mm-hmm!
