* [[DependingOnTheWriter Some]] interpretations of ''ComicBook/{{Batman}}'' villain Ra's al'Ghul depict him looking into [[GrandTheftMe stealing the bodies of others]] to preserve his own existence in response to the declining existence and/or effectiveness of the Lazarus Pits. Naturally, some interpretations of ''this'' interpretation go with the idea that he is only capable of possessing direct family descendants. In one story, he attempts to hijack the body of his grandson, Damian Wayne, and when that fails, he is instead forced to take over the body of his albino son, [[WellDoneSonGuy who let him do it because he thought it would finally earn him Ra's' love]].

*The AudioPlay/BigFinishDoctorWho audio "[[Recap/BigFinishDoctorWhoCCS8E1Mastermind Mastermind]]" reveals that the Master became this for a time; stuck on Earth in the early twentieth century while reduced to his "deathworm" state, he was able to possess a human body and arrange for his essence to be transferred to his host's son once the son had a child himself. He had intended to remain this way for an indefinite period of time, moving from father to son as he had only been able to adapt his essence to exist in a particular body with great effort, but the grandson realised that something had happened and was able to trap the Master in a sealed room until he was retrieved by UNIT and put in suspended animation.
