"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI just went through and commented out a whole bunch of Zero Context Examples. Not one of them said what was heroic about the character(s).
How come there are so few examples? Since a hero is an Omnipresent Trope, i would expect either tons of examples, or no examples at all.
Just another day in the life of Jimmy NutrinSo a large block of description about Australian and German views of "hero" has just been added to the trope description. I'm not so sure it belong there. It's in an awkward spot and seems to be only partially relevant to the trope at best.
Hide / Show RepliesThat is at best analysis. It does not really belong here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI have a story in which the main character has a best friend who is an Author Avatar, and the kind of character I would normally have as the protagonist. The latter is fully aware of this, and thinks that she's the main character. Would that fall under a kind of Wrong Genre Savvy, Genre Blindness, or is she just a Heroic Wannabe?
