- Actor-Inspired Element: Child actors Charlotte McBurney and Logan Hannan, who provided the English voices for Amicia and Hugo, respectively, participated in the writing process by suggesting changes to dialogue and alternative takes to make their talking more childlike.
- Children Voicing Children: All of the children in the game were voiced by child actors.
- Dueling Products: Coming out on the same day as Bethesda's Rage 2 seemed as though it would not do A Plague Tale: Innocence any favors. Thankfully, it seems to have not made any difference, as the game was not overlooked as it was assumed to be, and is still well liked.
- Fake Nationality: In the English version, none of the voice cast are French. This is averted in the French version.
