GTA Online introduces you to Bank Robbery and the best armored car in the game, the Armored Kuruma, in the Fleeca Heist. Just waltz out of the bank, and you never get shot inside the car. Neat.
And then Rockstar goes out of their way to ignore the armored car and force you to use plain cars or bikes, like the car didn't exist, to the point of stupidity, where 4 bikes are stolen for the Pacific Standard Heist that are worth more than the money you are stealing. No joke, if you were buying 4 bikes of that model, you'd spend more than you'd earn robbing the bank. They upped the value you can take out of Pac-Stand years later, but still the numbers are close.
Rants aside, the banks are utterly complicated to rob, with neverending setups. On the other hand, the Cassino Heist finally landed a decent Vault with a door you can drill or blow, for instance, the different approaches are very fun to do.
