Mortadelo and Filemon: Mission Implausible (Spanish: Mortadelo y Filemón contra Jimmy el Cachondo, "Mortadelo and Filemon versus Jimmy the Freak") is a Spanish 3D computer-animated comedy from the Mortadelo y Filemón franchise that was released on 28 November of 2014. It was co-written, directed and edited by Javier Fesser. The story revolves around Mortadelo and Filemon going against the criminal called Jimmy el Cachondo (Gabriel Chamé), who has stolen some top secret documents, as well with dealing with Tronchamulas, a cousin of Jimmy who has a personal vendetta against Filemon for putting him behind bars with false evidence.

''Mortadelo Y Filemon Mission Implausible ' provides examples of:

  • All for Nothing: The top secret that Mortadelo and Filemon risked their lives was a simple culinary recipe that Ofelia saw on the internet. Naturally, the two agents aren't amused by this revelation and retaliate hard on the Super by forcing him to eat the entire damaged safe box.
  • All Just a Dream: The beginning of the movie is an abridged version of the movie but with Filemon being a successful and hypercompetent agent, a far cry from what he is in real life.
  • Berserk Button: Mocking his orphaned status is a sensitive topic to him, and reminds Filemon by lifting the table that if he weren't drugged, he would immediately do "el aquello" to him.
  • Deadly Euphemism: A newscaster reporting on Tronchamulas's escape from prison claims that the criminal is searching for Filemón intending to do "el aquello" (roughly "that thing") to him. Given the context (a big, strong, angry criminal chasing down the man who got him sent to prison fifteen years ago), the clear implication is that Tronchamulas is out to kill Filemón.
  • Don't Celebrate Just Yet: After successfully catching the bomb, Filemon celebrates a bit too soon and drops the bomb again without thinking.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Jimmy tries to detonate the safe box to open it multiple time and fails to notice the little hook that easily opens the entire box. Even funnier, his cousin Tronchamulas, who is implied to be dumber than him, instantly notices the little hook and opens the safe with no difficulty.
  • Framing the Guilty Party: While Tronchamulas is a dangerous criminal, he was arrested by Filemon who unjustly extended his time in prison for 15 years with false evidence.
  • Heel–Face Brainwashing: Tronchamulas is accidentally tamed with Bacterio's reversicina, making him docile and harmless, which Filemon quickly exploits to make sure he doesn't get his revenge and turn him into his slave.
  • Hope Spot: Upon witnessing the news of Tronchamulas escaping prison, Filemon believes that the police will quickly arrest him, only for the following scene to reveal that they aren't going to do anything to protect Filemon, with orders to arrest Tronchamulas only after he gets revenge on Filemon.
  • The Immune: Bacterio realises that the reversicina wouldn't have any effects on Mortadelo and Filemon with the logic that due to the duo being half-dumb, they would turn into half-smart, without any sort of real change on them.
  • It's Personal: The criminal Tronchamulas has a grudge against Filemon for putting him in prison with false evidence.
  • Mad Bomber: Jimmy's favorite method of terrorizing his target is by dropping bombs, even dedicating a song to the huge bomb that he intends to drop at the T.I.A headquarters
  • Negated Moment of Awesome: Upon catching the bomb and gaining the respect of the citizens, Filemon immediately ruins it by dropping the bomb while celebrating, resulting in the bomb falling and sending the T.I.A headquarters off the orbit, immediately failing his mission to protect the T.I.A from the attack.
  • No "Police" Option: The police aren't interested in helping Filemon by arresting Tronchamulas as Filemon previously provoked a guard earlier on in the morning.
  • Properly Paranoid: Filemon quickly questions whether the armored glass bell that installed Mortadelo will protect him from Tronchamulas. Later on, when the Super sends Tronchamulas to live with them, Tronchamulas casually destroys the entire armored glass with a single poke while singing.
