A girl and her brothersNote

Hari was adopted into the Erenst family as a child and spent years being treated derisively by her adopted brothers, who refused to accept her as their sister and claimed that she is only brought in as a replacement of their dead sister, Arina. But now Hari is an adult, having smoothed things over with her brothers years ago and about to be married to a perfect fiancé...or at least that was the plan until Hari finds herself transported back into her 7-year-old body. Faced with the troubles of her past, she's forced to relive the conflicts of her past, though now with the perspective of an adult.

"Beware of The Brothers" started as a webnovel created by Plutus of Who Made Me a Princess fame (though this is Plutus' first work, and thus serves as something of a prequel to the Shared Universe of Who Made Me A Princess). The webcomic can be found in Korean here.

This Webtoon contains examples of:

  • Accidental Time Travel: The story starts with Hari on her way to marry Johan, only to be thrown back in time into her 7-year-old body for reasons unknown.
  • Abusive Parents: Adoptive aunt in this case. Leonald never accepted Hari's adoption into the family, even if it was just because she happened to physically resemble the deceased Arina Erenst, and she went out of her way to verbally and physically abuse Hari whenever possible.
  • Identical Stranger: Hari looks near identical to the deceased Arina Erenst, which is why she was adopted into the family. In reality, the more pressing reason that Hari was adopted was to help stave off Duchess Erenst's depression following Arina's death.
  • In Spite of a Nail: The Erenst couple still die despite Hari's time travel, as Hari's attempts to improve the relationships in the Erenst family can only delay the time when the Erenst parents are eventually killed in an accident.
  • Metaphorically True: Hari only has her own experience to rely on when remembering what happened in her past. Her perception of certain memories slowly changes as her adult mind recognizes that she doesn't actually have the full picture regarding the state of the Erenst family, and she realizes that her adoptive brothers are victims of circumstances, the same as her.
  • Not Blood Siblings: The Erenst brothers are Hari's adopted siblings. When Hari eventually starts liking Eugene romantically, her name is taken out of the siblings' registry so she can be brought in as a spouse.
  • Parents as People: As much as the Erenst couple love their children, Duchess Erenst is still grieving horribly in the light of Arina's death and unconsciously treats Hari as Arina on more than one occasion, which leads to the brothers having a huge issue with Hari. Duke Erenst is trying his best to help his wife, but it comes at the expense of his biological sons' emotional turmoil. It's only after Eugene decides to step up that things finally improve.
  • Perfectly Arranged Marriage: Hari would have been in one with Johan, if she hadn't time travelled accidentally. Hari completely forgets about her relationship with Johan at some point after going back in time and ends up liking Eugene romantically.
  • Rewatch Bonus: Many of the Erenst family's words and actions make much more sense after certain events come to light, such as Eugene trying to take Hari's yellow candy away because they were actually painkiller drugs that Hari was clearly supposed to overdose on.
  • Replacement Goldfish: What the brothers initially perceived Hari's adoption as and why they had a hard time accepting her in the first timeline. For them, Hari can never be Arina. Duchess Erenst unconsciously treated Hari as one for her biological daughter, and Eugene seeing the painkillers in disguise of candy for Hari is one of the first things that made him decide to speak up about this after a trip out of town.
  • Shared Universe: With Who Made Me a Princess, with the series taking place in Obelia's neighboring country, Arlanta.
  • Time Travel: Hari time traveled back to when she was 7 years old. The problem is, Hari had already started to get along better with her brothers by the time she falls back into the past, making her case an Accidental Time Travel.
