- Technology Marches On: YouTube as depicted in this video is from the tail end of Turn of the Millennium, so the layout and features differ greatly from YouTube of today. A few examples:
- Friends list is not a thing anymore.
- Channel UI shown in the short is obviously indicative of the channel design at the time
◊. - Use of the 5-star rating system, when viewers are more accustomed to the like/dislike bar of today.
- As an interesting inversion, usernames with spaces (like Disco Bear) were not possible at the time the short was released. They have however since become impossible again following the implementation of the new "handle" style of usernames.
