Space Hotel is a sci-fi comedy audio drama podcast created by Eddie Francisco, and it's part of the Galactic Punch Bowl anthology.

\\Space Hotel is set in the year 3019 C.E. The once-famous interstellar hotel promises guests a five-star experience among the stars, but the reality is far from glamorous. Managed by the ineffective Frank Nix, the hotel staff includes Job Mc Cony, the overworked and sarcastic front desk clerk; Mally Morrison, the cheerful but clueless janitor; Trisha, the aggressive and no-nonsense security officer; Krikkit, the lazy IT guy; and Topps, the hotel's head of Sentient Resources who always tries to keep everything together. Several other recurring characters also help manage the hotel.

\\The series primarily follows the misadventures of Job Mc Cony as the new front desk clerk. He is the Butt-Monkey of the entire series, constantly a Fish out of Water as the only Earthling working in the hotel among aliens and emigrated humans. Originally intended to be a web series animation when it began in 2019, the project transitioned to an audio drama podcast after initial plans fell through. Eddie Francisco has been building upon the ideas for this series since 8th grade in 2003.

\\This podcast contains examples of:

  • Capitalism is Bad: Job reveals throughout the series how Earth became a capitalist dystopia that has destroyed its environment and prevents its citizens from leaving unless on a special work comp to get money. Also, throughout the series and the other shows of Galactic Punch Bowl, there are signs that Prospective Futures is a massive conglomerate hellbent on owning everything.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Mally Morrison is the primary example of this. His refusal to see the bad in people oftentimes leads him to misunderstand motivations and sarcasm. Dr. Lovemore also does this when trying to forget about her ex-husband Richard.
  • Muck Monster: Sleemoxes are common pests in spaceships and other interstellar vehicles. They can survive the vacuum of space. Geoffrey the Sleemox used to be owned by a guest until they accidentally flushed it down the toilet, where it now lives in the basement of the hotel. Also episode 7 features a literal poop monster that attacks the staff from the lobby bathroom.
  • Oblivious Janitor Cut: Right away in the first episode, Mally is unaware that a hostage situation is going on as he is cleaning the floor listening to music with headphones.
  • Only Sane Man: Frequently Job Mc Cony.
  • Planet of Hats: Karentopia is a planet inhabited by geneitically modified women all named Karen.
  • Schemer: Frank Nix often tries to find ways to attract more customers, many of which blow up in his face.
