Basic Trope: ISO standard Medieval European Fantasy tavern, with ale and barmaids aplenty.
- Straight: In Tales of Troperia DXXV, The Ditzy Dragon is a local Bar Full of Aliens that caters to a wide variety of clientele, from mercenaries and adventurers looking to band together and make some fine coin, to titillatingly dressed waitstaff (that customers may even get "service" from), to dimly lit gambling sites, to a high chance of getting into a Bar Brawl. Our Brave Scot Barbarian Hero Clay is a tad bit too young to actually have beer, so they serve him Frothy Mugs of Water instead, and obviously absolutely nobody wants to "service" a youth lest they get accused of pedophilia and promptly executed.
- Exaggerated: The Ditzy Dragon is a city-sized tavern that has much of the above. In fact, adventurers will typically be hired as bouncers and doing menial labor before actually going out adventuring, the prostitution rates are through the roofs, there's an entire Elaborate Underground Base that's full of gambling sites, and every now and then there's a gigantic riot. Clay is only served water and a meal because he's too young to drink.
- Downplayed: The Ditzy Dragon is just a mere "Greasy Spoon"-type of tavern.
- Justified: The Ditzy Dragon was built in a town that had no taverns at all, and was suffering from a lack of tourism and general population. Now that it's built, people are flocking to the town more and more until it grows into a city.

- Double Subverted: ???
- Parodied: Clay is a very well known Dragon Rider who tends to fly around and do all sorts of Improbable Piloting Skills but on a dragon. His Character Catchphrase? "I feel the need... The Need for Mead!", which is said before it cuts to him frequenting a tavern and getting into one Bar Brawl after another, being the typically rowdy Military Maverick that he is.
- Zig-Zagged: ???
- Averted:
- There are no taverns.
- This doesn't take place in Medieval European Fantasy.
- Enforced: To set up a You All Meet in an Inn scenario (or sometimes a You All Meet in a Cell scenario).
- Lampshaded: "By Goddess Troperia, I'm starved and thirsted! I require a hearty meal and ale to wash it down!"
- Invoked: The eponymous Ditzy Dragon sets up a tavern to attract clienteles. Hey, the tavern industry is a pretty booming business, you know!
- Exploited: ???
- Defied: Taverns are banned.
