Boyce Avenue is a Latino-American band that consists of brothers Alejandro Luis Manzano, Daniel Enrique Manzano, and Fabian Rafael Manzano. They specialize in live acoustic covers that have gained a fanbase through videos of their recording sessions posted on YouTube, becoming one of the first bands to rise to fame this way. They've released an album of original songs titled All We Have Left.

Examples:

  • Age-Progression Song: In the music video for "Every Breath".
  • All Love Is Unrequited / Just Friends: In the song "Change Your Mind".
  • Be Yourself: Quite literally the chorus of "Cinderella."
Be yourself Cinderella (Oh, be yourself)
'Cause no one else could do It better (Oh, be yourself)
And when that clock strikes midnight
Even if those kicks don't feel right
    I'll stand by you forever
    So be yourself Cinderella
    Just be yourself Cinderella
  • Beneath the Mask: This line from "More Things to Say": "All we know is the mask and not your face".
  • The Cover Changes the Gender: They aren't afraid to cover songs sung by female artists, and when these aren't turned into duets with a female vocalist to cover that bit (such as their cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car"), they just flip the pronouns (such as their cover of Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn").
  • The Cover Changes the Meaning: A specialty of theirs, often turning infectious party tunes into smooth romantic ballads.
  • Domestic Abuse: The subject of the song "Tonight" is implied to have to deal with this.
  • Eyes Never Lie: From "Tonight": "But her eyes they say goodbye / No, they never lie / Windows to her life"
  • Lets Wait Awhile: Their cover of "Teenage Dream" does this to the Intercourse with You chorus of the original, suggesting they talk through the night rather than "go all the way."
  • Light Is Good: From "Dare to Believe": "We've been in the dark for way too long / But when we turn around we see a light shine through the haze"
  • Softer and Slower Cover: Of "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry. The song is made much more romantic in tone and removes the Intercourse with You aspect of it. "Let's just talk all through the night, there's no need to rush." Works well.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: "Broken Angel," about a girl desperately seeking the approval of a father who has no interest in her.
  • A World Half Full: "Dare to Believe". The world may be falling apart, but they'll help each other through it.
