When Wrestling/{{WWE}} bought out WCW in 2001, he was one of the wrestlers that took part in Wrestling/TheInVasionAngle only to be let go by WWE months later in a complicated set of circumstances.circumstances[[labelnote:note]]His debut match was with Wrestling/BookerT for the WCW heavyweight title, one of a small handful of pilot matches to gauge interest from the WWE fanbase in a separate WCW brand. For the importance of it, the match itself was decidedly mediocre at best, with Bagwell making a number of errors. The negative fan reaction almost singlehandedly convinced Vince McMahon to quash any plans of spinning off WCW as its own brand and resulted in what would become the Invasion. He also had a number of backstage incidents and arguments.[[/labelnote]]. Afterwards, Bagwell made sporadic appearances Wrestling/{{TNA}} and has done primary independent wrestling shows since.

* CareerEndingInjury: Was thought to have suffered one in early 1998. In a tag team match, he took a jumping bulldog from Rick Steiner, but Scott Steiner was on the mat just below where he would take the bump; Bagwell's head impacted with Scott, causing a horrific injury where Bagwell's spine almost seemed to visibly jump out of place. He would be diagnosed with a broken neck, several damaged vertebrae, and severe spinal shock that confined him to a wheelchair for several months. He would make an astonishing, almost miraculous recovery and be cleared for a return to the ring within a year.

Badass Mustache and Badass Beard are being merged into Manly Facial Hair. Examples that don't fit or are zero-context are removed. To qualify for Manly Facial Hair, the facial hair must be associated with masculinity in some way. Please read the trope description before readding to make sure the example qualifies.

* BadassBeard: Grew one in the late '90s coinciding with arguably the most successful period of his career.
