* NostrilShot: PlayedForLaughs. The film features security camera nostril shots of the diminutive Edna Mode. Bob wants to visit her to ask for costume fixing, so she beats her security guard out of the picture when she realizes it's one of her acquaintances. Since the camera is tuned to a man of average height, she has to look up.

* PainfulConfession: Mr. Incredible thought that his entire family was killed when Syndrome destroyed their plane. He was overjoyed to find that they had escaped. But now there's a giant robot attacking the city and he wants his family to get out of danger. Mrs. Incredible insists that they can help, but he wants to do it alone. His wife wants to know why it's so important, and he can't get the right words out, babbling about not being strong enough. She thinks he's just being macho, a culmination of the midlife crisis that he's been struggling with. Finally he snaps...

* MagicPants: Justified for the four main heroes since they all have custom made suits that are adjusted to their powers. Played with, with Jack-Jack. His diaper does ''[[AvertedTrope not]]'' travel with him when he teleports, however it does remain perfectly intact when he bursts into flames, or transforms into a monster.

His diaper does ''[[AvertedTrope not]]'' travel with him when he teleports, however it does remain perfectly intact when he bursts into flames, or transforms into a monster. (He does ''have'' a suit that was created for him and would similarly be justified in being resistant to his powers, but he's not wearing it for most of the movie.)

** Discussed by Helen Parr, who makes it ''very'' clear to Dash and Violet that the situation they are in has very serious consequences. We see this verified later when Syndrome's mooks start shooting at Dash and Violet as soon as they realize the kids are supers.

Most notably after capturing the entire family he ops to just have them imprisoned [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim rather than just kill them despite having them dead to rights]] -- giving them the opportunity to break free and ultimately foil his plan.

* SayMyName: Huph yells "Parr!" to get Bob's attention after the latter helps Mrs. Hogenson claim her insurance.

* SuperRegistrationAct: Called the Super Relocation Act which forced the heroes into retirement and anonymity. However, it's notably given a twist in that the push comes, not from the government, but from the ''public'' who grew tired of being part of the collateral damage. The supers are actually supported by the government.

*NGOSuperpower: Syndrome controls an entire private island with access to at least dozens of mooks with automatic weapons and a sophisticated base of operations. He also has extensive advanced military technology including hovercrafts and military jets -- all before even getting to the Omnidroids. It's safe to assume his enterprise is worth billions of dollars. Justified, as Syndrome built his massive fortune by selling advanced weapon technology to foreign nations.
