** Numerous things which were LostInTranslation in the original version's quiz games have been corrected in the remake. The name of the quiz is now the 65th / 66th Trivia Quiz-Off, rather than Super Quirk Quiz, directly succeeding the 64th Trivia Quiz-Off from Paper Mario. Two Quiz answers, "Kooskoos" and "Mushville", which were misinterpretations of Koopa Koot and Toad Town's Japanese names. The remake properly implements the references.

** Pianta Parlor cards are unique items that let you play bonus minigames. They're only rewarded by completing certain troubles. In the original game, this was an issue because you don't know what the reward for a trouble would be until you finish it. In the remake, the descriptions for each Trouble that gives you a card will say so outright, so you can easily seek them out if you want.
** A lot of item descriptions have been updated to remove GuideDangIt. This includes saying that Earth Quake can hit enemies on ceilings, explaining exactly what Hot Sauce does in battle, mentioning that Cake Mix can be eaten for a small FP restoration, and listing specific damage values for attack items.

** Numerous bits of dialogue related to fat shaming were outright changed or removed. Bowser orders one of his Hammer Bro minions to do some sit-ups. In the original, Bowser mocked his minion's weight, but the remake has him tell his minion to make sure he does enough exercise that his hammer gets abs too. Likewise, he blames his unexpected drop in entrance on Grodus's head in the Palace of Shadow crummy tower construction.

* TheArtifact: Gold Bars and their 3x variant can still be bought at the Deepdown Depot store, where they were originally a means to work around the coin {{cap}} (by buying Gold Bars, storing them, and selling them at a minor loss later on). This is no longer useful in the remake, as Mario can now hold 9,999 coins, far above what any player will reasonably ever have unlike the original game's max of 999. However, Gold Bars can be obtained from other sources like the Pianta Parlor, so they still work as ShopFodder this way.
