The 33rd President of the United States faces a broken nation but is eager to reunite and take its place once more as the hegemon of the New World.\n\nServing alongside Winant is Frederick Hale, a Maine lawyer and Senator from Harvard University. Harry Truman's dream of glory in war was dashed when the UC choose to prolong their neutrality during the Weltkrieg. Truman had dropped his college and law degree to prepare himself for the conflict that never came. Continued active service in Central America informed him of the threats of insurgent guerilla warfare. Truman brought this this discipline in the face of chaotic warfare back to Missouri and helped the state as Senator relieve towns that were struck by the chaos of 1936. Born in Dummerston, Vermont, on August 20th, 1892 - George David Aiken developed a strong interest in agriculture early, a passion that he would carry on in his career as governor of Vermont. He ascended to the position of Lieutenant Governor in 1934 and became governor in 1936, just as the nation descended into chaos. As governor of Vermont during the civil war, Aiken helped organise work projects to alleviate the economic stress caused by years of the great depression. A proponent of spending projects for rural America, Aiken holds great affection for the natural beauty of his home state, although these views put him at odds with old-guard Republicans. * InternalReformist: Wickersham attempted to introduce socialist reforms to Alaska while being a Republican in the House of Representatives.

* AuthorityInNameOnly: Downplayed. If the Red Congress wins the election, the Congress essentially presides over Alaska as a ruling body without any central authority present as the head of state will be run by the Congress indefinitely.
* EmergencyAuthority: The Congress is set up in place after Wickersham dies, and is used as an organizing body for delegates across Alaska to decide what Alaska's course will be. Subverted, if the Congress ends with the delegates rejecting any central authority, then the Congress itself will become the leader of Alaska ruling as an organizational body.
* InHarmonyWithNature: The syndicalists of Alaska despise the mainstream industrializaion's processes, and see it as destructive to the natural world and its beauties. The Congress seeks to leave most of Alaska unindutrialized to keep its natural beauty alive and untainted but rampant and unregulated disastrous destrutive efforts engaged through ideology.
* InNameOnly: Inverted. The Red Congress doesn't like directly associating with syndicalism, largely because of the lack of knowledge Alaskans have to understand syndicalism as well as hating the theoretical part contents of it. To combat this, they dissacoiate with syndicalism's theory and enact syndicalism in all but name, caring only to enact its policies to help out the common Alaskan.

* AllohistoricalAllusion: Jurich can denounce the Trotskyists that come to Alaska after the CSA falls for setting up a plot against him and his Communists and can purge them from the congress. This alludes to Stalin in OTL purging Trotsky and his Left Opposition justifying it as a "Trotskyite plot" to oust him. In our OTL this was just a baseless justification to purge him, here it actually is a plot to overthrow Jurich.
