Not in a nuzlocke as the rules limit you to used one per route/area normally but since I'm doing a full game plus DLC run I gave myself two per area.

Well, this is why I don't do Nuzlockes.

That and all the death. So much death.

And I'm only half way through the game plus one part of the DLC so there is much more death to come.

Sorry for the double post but I forgot to say that I got a shiny Bisharp in this nuzlocke, I'm also sorry for the wonk so I edited this post out of shame.

Sh Sh is at 26.27 and SV is at 24.92 million sold.

And Z-A is likely going to be cross-gen now that we have official confirmation that Nintendo is going to reveal next gen before next March.

I thought you meant next Pokémon generation at first, but it’s next console generation you’re saying. Are you sure of that, though? Announcing the next console comes well before releasing it, right?

It's a fair bet that the Switch successor will launch holidays 2025. Z-A has a release date of "2025". ...I think it's likely that Z-A will be out before the next console. And industry buzz is that the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible, so I'm not sure it'll need a cross-gen version to begin with

I highly doubt PKZA is cross gen as Gamefreak doesn't jump on the new consoles when they first release.

Be very very afraid because with the lack of new handhelds from Nintendo, GF is going to have to adapt to releasing on new consoles faster.

Nintendo wants to push their consoles and Pokemon is a sure fire bet.

They weren’t exactly pushy for a mainline game during the early 3ds and switch era

Yeah because they had Zelda to sell Switches.

I'm betting this year for the new console, they'll want Pokemon ZA to be a launch title for it.

At most you’re getting a cross Gen thing. And I highly doubt we’re gonna get that considering Game freak was fine releasing DS and 3DS games when their successors were already out

Yeah because GF preferred to release on hand held consoles, which they can't do anymore, so their efforts are now on Nintendo's main console now.

That's why I firmly believe ZA will be a launch title for the new console. Cross gen or otherwise.

I feel like you’re making an leap of logic going from “now Nintendo doesn’t have a handheld console” to “now Gamefreak will be made to have their newest main Pokémon game be a launch title even though that has never happened before”

Well you gotta account for the rumors of a 2025 release for Nintendo's new console, it seems like convenient timing with Pokemon ZA.

Pokemon is a popular brand, and it would be very profitable if they took the reigns for a launch title status since they can't on Zelda for that,

@Red Hunter 543 you have to remind yourself that Gamefreak is behind when it comes to game development, which makes sense as they are a third party company so unlike the Zelda devs they don't get dev kit for the next console already until a little while after, also Nintendo doesn't control the IP as that's on Gamefreak as well.

Logically, Nintendo should have some control over the IP, since The Pokemon Company is co-owned by GF, Creatures, and Nintendo.

The launch for Pokémon ZA is going to be a mess in the new console.

Game Freak likely received a dev kit early this time. While I fully believe gen 10 is going to be the first fully next gen title, Game Freak is likely developing Z-A with cross gen in mind.

I also believe that Z-A is one of the reasons behind the internal delay of the Switch's successor, regardless of whether its launch or not, Nintendo likely wants a solid launch year set of games ready to go to keep sales momentum up for the first year.

Yeah, I believe that too. Nintendo NEEDS a strong start to their new console. Not sure if GF is the right company to entrust this important task but history proves Pokemon will sell no matter the quality.

@Shining Stardust Nintendo only has publishing rights to the IP and Gamefreak in a game informer interview out right said that Nintendo and TPC has no control over them.

I highly dout that as Gamefreak marches to the beat of their own drum as they have multitudes of resources, like monolith soft, and don't used them at all.
