Random thought: Why doesn't Dracula just bite one of the Belmonts and turn them? XD

I feel like the Belmonts would be too skilled for that trick. Since they are trained from birth to hunt vampires and the night, they would be prepared for if Dracula would try biting them.

Besides, he's more of a spam teleport and throw fire balls kind of guy.

He can bite the player character in some games (64 and Dawn of Sorrow), but those aren't Belmonts. XD

Reinhardt is a Belmont even if he doesn't have the name.

And in Lords of Shadow continuity he does turn Trevor into a vampire in a desperate attempt to save him after mortally wounding him. Though he bit himself so he could force-feed some of his blood to Trevor.

Personally, I like to headcanon Dracula respects the Belmonts enough to refuse to turn them directly because Leon rejected his offer.

It does seem like one of those things that should get a Hand Wave in a game. It's quite possible Dracula just doesn't because he considers the Belmonts a Worthy Opponent, but it's also possible they simply have a contingency for it.

He did put that curse on Simon. It's unclear how, but there may have been biting involved. Maybe. I mean, you can't prove definitively that there was no biting.

Actually, it's possible the curse came through biting.

But we saw how that worked. Simon revived him years earlier than he would usually come back, and literally beat his ass into the ground to break the curse. I'm guessing after that, he said no more biting.

Actually, I think people are missing an Occam's Razor.

Dracula doesn't turn any of the Belmonts because when he fights them...he loses.

He offered to turn Leon Belmont, tried to brainwash Richter, and a few more things but consistently Dracula gets his ass beaten outside of the anime.

That was Shaft who mind controlled Richter tho.

I mean I'm assuming Shaft answers to Dracula.

Yeah but Dracula was dead at the time Shaft enacted his plans.

So this seems to have been something Shaft plotted on his own. Heck, we see minions of Dracula do things that I doubt their boss would approve of.

Like the Succubus pretending to be his dead wife to fool his son. Or even Shaft's threat to force Alucard to serve as a replacement for Richter.

Simon not only still killed him, but then revived him and beat his ass again.

Ummmm AKSHUALLY what Dracula did was inflict a curse on a wound in Simon's back that wouldn't heal. He couldn't actually bite Simon.

And we don't actually know how Dracula inflicted the wound. Maybe he bit his back? Like, he is a vampire. He's gotta bite somebody sometime right?

I mean he is a vampire so he had to had gotten his fangs into someone at some point.

Also am I the only one who’s honestly entranced with the enemy variety in the series?

I should mention that I’ve only played “Dawn of Sorrow”, “Portrait of Ruin” and a little of “Order of Ecclesia”.

TBH if you can only play three Castlevania games those are good picks.

Lotta people will cry foul at the lack of Symphony of the Night but eh.

I'll be honest, I think Aria of Sorrow, and Dawn of Sorrow are superior to Symphony of the Night.

I like the enemy variety too, and it's cool seeing enemies return to the series after long absences!

Honestly wish there was a game that. Like. Had each and every enemy that ever existed in Castlevania, in a game with Soma as the protagonist, just to see what kind of souls they'd drop. :p

Or with Shanoa and her glyphs.

That's basically the point of Bloodstained. Let's toss in the entire A Ars Goetia and see what happens with Soul abilities.
