That movie better be, like, two hours long, at least.
Kinda figured. The Metalocalypse movie will also be the series finale as was intended by Brendan years ago.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyHonestly I'm glad that this movie will serve as the Finale. While I would like to have more adventures with the Venture Bros there is something nice about having a series end and not having it languish in incompleteness like some shows or games (megaman legends anyone). Hopefully it is an ending worthy of the series.
Yeah, it's gonna need to be a meaty movie. Metalocalypse had it's ending planned to be short to start with, even just a hour and a half (A reminder the episodes for that show, with one season being the exception, were only 11 minutes long.) would be more than enough for it, Venture Brothers is a different story.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.Watching the whole series on HBO Max and it's dawning on me that stuff like HankCo., the Fraternity of Torment, and the Peril Partnership, stuff that wouldn't really be prominent until season 3 and 4, got established in seasons 1 and 2.
Subtle worldbuilding, am I right?
BUMP.
Jackson Publick gives us a peek at the grand finale's script!
Rusty Venture in...The Last Recording Session!
James Urbaniak tweets that he's been doing his last session voicing Dr. Rusty Venture.
Sigh, I'm gonna miss this show. Are you guys gonna miss it too?
With the amount of time between seasons, it kind of feels like it's already been gone for years.
Fresh-eyed movie blogBecause it has been years since the last season. But yeah, I'm gonna miss this show. Still, it'd have meant so much more if it even was every other year, instead of the rate we got it.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIt will be sad to truly say goodbye, but at least it's getting any ending at all.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness. It's taken me a long time to figure out, but Venture Bros. is a top-three TV show for me, animated and otherwise. It's going to suck, saying goodbye.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I admit, I've thought The Venture Bros. was over a couple of times now. It will be nice to get an actual finale. I really do hope that Hank and Dean get to be happy, somehow.

As much as I love Venture Brothers, I'm glad that it's going out this way. I feared more that it wouldn't ever have a true ending, so knowing this upcoming movie will be the finale and seeing it get the chance for a finale after being cancelled makes me happy.
Plus I'm someone who likes closure at this point as opposed to things going forever. Venture Brothers was gone more often than not anyway, so I don't feel like I'm losing something annymore.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Season eight was supposed to be the last one. The show was always going to have a finale. Only now it'll be a two-hour finale (if we're lucky!) instead of an entire season. I'm glad it's getting something, but it sucks that Doc and Jackson didn't get to finish it the way they originally intended.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Sooooo... has anyone heard any update about the movie? It has been almost 2 years since the announcement, and 4 years since the series was officially cancelled, and nothing yet.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI hope Zaslav didn't axe the movie. That would be a major dick move.
Anyone ever count how many Adult Swim original shows you liked that got cancelled? I'm at seven.
Seems like if I like an Adult Swim show, it's more likely to be cancelled than to reach an intended ending.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyYeah, Venture Bros and Robot Chicken are only AS originals I've followed. Between spending most of my life without cable (pretty much just four years in college) and a lot of the AS sense of humor being anathema to mine, I haven't watched a lot.
Fresh-eyed movie blogWe have our first pic of The Venture Bros. Movie!
Is the OSI about to investigate the Monarch's mansion?

I’m incredibly glad to hear this is still happening. I was worried for a bit that it got cancelled or it was a victim of the HBO Max shakeup.
I think Venture bros is safe purely because its been on so long it was basically one of their flagship shows before Rick and morty
New theme music also a boxSuddenly a Complete Series DVD boxset!
Featuring all episodes, all existing extras, all wrapped up in an awesome box with tons of VB references!
Off the top of my head, I can see:
- that time Rusty got turned into a caterpillar
- that time Brock mowed down the Monarch's minions with his car
- the Gargantua-2 incident
- Dr. Killinger vs. the Investors
- Hank's Teddy toy and Dean's toy giraffe.
- One of the hover bikes.
- The Monarch's super armor in the season 3 finale and the car that blew up.
- I'm stumped on the reference in the side.
$135US.
Oh, that's tempting. That's REALLY high, but that's tempting.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117
Oh shoot! It looks like we missed this, but from the mouth of Dr. Venture himself, the VB movie will serve as a series finale.
Prepare your hearts, ladies and gentlemen, because we're in the endgame with this one...
