I unironically love how this has the energy of a mid-2000s-early-2010s Cartoon Network action comedy. It just looks like pure fun with it being both goofy and cool with a cute robo cat and lovely character designs.
I've only spent a few hours playing it and I'm already in love, it's well deserving of the praise it's gotten!
It's like if Devil May Cry and Guitar Hero had a baby, then let Rhythm Heaven raise it!
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."Time to get a Steam Deck then! This legit sounds like fun.
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fate/Samurai RemnantI can dig adding rhythmic gameplay elements to other styles. Things timed to the beat of the music are veritably 50% cooler, so them encouraging it is right up my alley. Will definitely check it out first opportunity :)
Right? And I love moments like this.
Bump.
In case anyone's doing a page for the game, I think we have an example of Developer's Foresight in the game.
If for any reason, you quit in the middle of a boss fight, when you get back to the game, you end up back in the hideout and you'll find unique dialogue!
I never understand why all the ads and even the first post here make a big deal of how this game is by Tango Gameworks and isn't horror.
I mean, yes, they made a bunch of horror games that people like. But people are aware that the executive producer of the company is Shinji Mikami, right? And, to put it bluntly, this isn't the first time he's brought us the tale of a general loser getting an artificial arm that makes him awesome at fighting, followed by meeting a woman who he doesn't like very much who forces him to go beat up a bunch of absurd yet colorful villainous types.
To be fair, it's been extremely common for studios to start with more bright and family-friendly games, then move onto exclusively darker and gritter content and never look back. Even with Shinji Mikami's diverse career, it's still a surprise to see a studio whip up something like this when they're mainly known for a pair of dark and gruesome horror games, though to be fair, Ghostwire was also extremely whimsical by comparison and stuffed with cute animals in addition to all the creepy ghost-busting.
I love that Kales whining about the test subjects for his big plan is what sets in motion Create Your Own Hero.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I can't believe that one of the most gorgeous looking games I have ever seen, was just shadow dropped like that.
I am genuinly considering getting a Steam Deck, just so I can play this.
....Did they seriously just make a Xenogears reference out of nowhere? In a rhythm action game?
x6. Its a joke.
Absolutely in love with everything from this game ive seen so far. The more I look, the more easter eggs and cool and funny stuff I seem to find. The Left-Shark meme from almost a decade ago....Zanzo having a full body pillow of himself in the office....The shoutouts to some of the deepest cuts- XENOGEARS of all things...the whole package seems to just OOZE passion.

Using Macaron before you add him to the team creates a time paradox, luckily CNMN is on the case!
The soundtrack is now on Youtube.
The Twitter account shared some stats about what people did while playing
A sampling of them—
- 808 played with 3729925 times
- 33% failed the QTE at the end of Track 7

I don't know what's with that place, it's like they're upside down.
The game will be releasing on PS 5 on March 18th

Well nifty! Unfortunately I am a simple PS 4 owner...one of these days ill afford that dang console
Announced via Xbox and Bethesda's first Developer_Direct and developed by The Evil Within's Tango Gameworks (yes, we're not making that up)!
It's (no pun intended) rocking!
You are Chai, a young man with a robot arm and a music player strapped to his chest that powers said robot arm, and you need to deal with bigwig MegaCorp jerks that want your robot arm, regardless of whether that kills you or not.
So of course you gotta beat them up.
The catch here is that everything Chai does syncs to the beat of the actual in-game music. Even your dashes are in sync!
In case you're confused, they go into detail about how it all plays:
So basically, it's as Maximillian Dood puts it: "Gitaroo Man X Devil May Cry X Sunset Overdrive". (One might think it's Sunset Overdrive done better?)
In any case, it's already out for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, Epic Game Store, and Steam (and can be played on Steam Deck). Yeah, they literally just dropped it. Right now.
