Chapter 239:
The General Reactions from everyone about last (last) week's final play: Aiku and Niko are left bewildered, Ness is SHOCKED, Kaiser is LIVID, Barou is PISSED, and the rest (mostly Bastard München) are celebrating!!
Meanwhile, in the match between France's PXG and England's Manshine City, the game ends 3-1 with PXG winning. The thing: it was won ONLY BY RIN'S GOALS (the lone goal for Manshine being Chigiri's). HE. IS. BACK. And apparently more of a monster than when we last left him! For him, IT'S TIME FOR REVENGE!!
And so, the stage is set for Bastard München VS PXG, Germany vs France, Isagi vs Rin (what I would call the revenge match of the century, though that's not counting ALL THE OTHER RIVALS Isagi formed along the way...)!!\\

My headcanon is that Shidou red-carded himself and Loki stopped using him because he’s a reckless dumbo.

Chapter 241:
While Spain faces France (GOOD LUCK BACHIRA!! You're gonna need it...) and England faces Italy, Germany's on break. Basically nothing much apart from shippers of Kaiser and Isagi getting recognition, Isagi going "NO, FUCK OFF," and a bit with him and Igarashi, who wants advice, hence the title of the chapter. Ahh, that takes us back!
The more pressing part, however, comes at the end, where it seems we'll be heading to Kaiser and Ness's backstory!

By the way, does talking about Episode Nagi count here? Because there's some new developments going on that I feel is hard to ignore:
As of now, with the new issue of Bessatsu Shounen Magazine, it has once again gone off from the main storyline with the introduction of Reiji Hiiragi, who happened to be teamed up with Niko and Zantetsu, and their team ending up challenging Nagi, Barou, and Chigiri in a 3v3 Rivalry Battle.
From there, it seems to be a foregone conclusion with the Niko/Zantetsu/Hiiragi team losing and Zatetsu getting taken. After that is mostly speculation, but I think that given which clear team Hiiragi & Niko went to, Hiiragi would have gone off ahead, and Niko would have to start from scratch again...

Talks about the spinoff should be fine. I haven't caught up with Episode Nagi for a long while.

Meanwhile in the main manga: we more or less have our 23 members for the Japanese U20 team. In order: Rin, Isagi, Barou, Shidou, Bachira, Aiku, Chigiri, Kunigami, Aryu, Otoya, Nagi, Niko, Sendou, Yukimiya, Karasu, Reo, Kurona, Gagamaru, Fukaku, Tokimitsu, Zantetsu, Hiori and Raichi. Basically everyone who already who got highlighted before.

Looking forward to whatever Kaiser has cooking haha.

Chapter 252:
In the match between Germany and France, the first goal ends up being scored by Shidou with Charles's assist, a case of two devils' paths coinciding, something unexpected by Isagi. AHHHHHH, it frustrates me, but it at least gives us development. Now the question is what will Isagi get from this. Actually, I would probably wanna ask when is Kiyora gonna be important to the plot?

Episode Nagi Chapter 22:
KIYORA IN FULL AT LAST ... AND HOOOOOO the gall of him to try to steal Nagi's practice time AND 1-UP HIM, TWICE!! Falling for him already!! There's also the reveal of snake-tongued Aiki Himizu and KARASU & OTOYA. With that, Nagi's 4 vs 4 Rivalry Battle has been sealed!!

AND ISAGI, thanks to Hiori's assist, EVENS THE SCORE 1-1 AMIDST RIVALS (Rin from without and Kaiser from within) WHO ARE FIXATED ON DEFEATING (read: destroying) HIM!! In the process, Isagi has developed a new technique!

I see, Isagi... So you're telling us that a key hint to your two-gun volley was Nagi's juggling shot? Pretty cool, but also pretty timely! And with that, KURONA'S BACK!!, shifting the center of Bastard München squarely to Isagi! Let's hope that it gets better from here!
By the next issue of Shounen Magazine, to celebrate the release of the EpiNagi movie, Blue Lock will be on the front cover, get a colored page to start, AND get 2 chapters of one-shots from both EpiNagi and the main series! It's gonna be another high!

News from the recent cast greeting celebrating Nagi's birthday: THE ANIME'S 2ND SEASON HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED FOR FALL 2024!!
It hasn't made it to the official social media yet, but I'm sure news of it will come by tonight at the earliest.

Awesome news. Hope they get more production leeway this time, the U-20 match deserves it.

Chapter 260:
AKA The Reveal of Kaiser's Backstory. Going from the extreme low of last chapter, this one is just EXTREME: child abuse, being forced to steal, and using a soccer ball for venting and therapy to the point of violence upon the threat of it being taken away. Also interesting is the reveal of one Ray Dark of Pseudo-FIFA, revealed at the end and implied to be the guy that brought Kaiser further into the world of soccer.

I’m sorry but Kaiser just took down ARMED OFFICERS with a FOOTBALL.

The final Additional Time for the EpiNagi movie has revealed a new seiyuu into the cast!
However, since there hasn't been an official announcement as of the time of writing, I will just give a hint: Someone in the Wild Mass Guessing page got one character correct!!
