From the looks of it, the Wild Card forced Kunigami to abandon his personal convictions, instead molding him into a copy of Noel Noa. It tempered him to instead have an ego as a goal-scoring weapon.
Guess we're also gonna be discussing the manga here! Right now (chapter 194) there's a match between Germany and England, and Isagi just stopped Chris Prince's super knuckleball. Rad.

I'm at Volume 9, specifically in Chapter 70, with 130 (if not more) chapters to go, and so far, I've been having a blast!!

I feel this is the best volume yet. The high stakes, the build-up, the threads connecting, and especially the end of the arc. I felt as though I feared the worst, and then the worst actually came but in a way I did not expect. It was bittersweet, and yet it felt like I'm on fire reading through this. It's damn awesome!
Reviving this because I finished Volume 17, and heaven be damned, this has been one hell of a roller coaster! It felt like Rin's point of hubris, and Isagi's time in the spotlight, a time exhausted very soon. At this point, I am super not ready for what Ego has planned next...

Ohhh, yeah haha that was an epic match. My favorite goal there has to be Nagi’s with the tap lift.

Chapter 204: Interesting status update chapter. Ego was a great enough football player that Noa considered him a formidable rival.
We also get new Blue Lock rankings. Current top 5 from lowest to highest is Kunigami, Isagi, Bachira, Nagi and Barou. Super excited to see how the evolved king is going to wreak havoc on the field.
So I finally caught up to the 22 volumes of manga that I have, meaning I have read up to chapter 194! And boy it was a goddamn ride, especially when Kaiser interrupted Isagi, causing him to miss and assist Kunigami when he really, REALLY didn't want that to happen and Nagi made his incredible goal to surpass Isagi using Reo in a culmination of his experiences!! I'm left breathless just reading through all this!!
I have 11 chapters to go, but I saw that volume 23 is coming next month on March 16th, so I decided to pause there and wait for the next volume knowing that about 5 new chapters will come and go. Ahhh I am definitely not gonna survive seeing the end of this match, especially because of Yukimiya!!

I'm a bit less enthused with the Manshine match compared to the Barcha match, but those last few chapters with Isagi ruling the field are intense!
With my buying of volume 23 and my subsequent catching up session, I am now fully caught up to the Blue Lock manga!!
My tendency to go full throttle on shipping aside, this has been a blast! So far, so good for Isagi and Bastard Munchen, but I fear what will happen if they lose, especially with the battle vs Ubers starting up with a new chara of the likes of Kaiser and Sae...
With that, I look forward to every Wednesday to liven this place up!

Also, ahhhh, so what I've been noting down on my notes as the Main 4 has now been christened the Egoistic 4: Isagi, Bachira, Kunigami, and Chigiri, our four strikers with roots in Team Z from way back. So it was the 2-on-2 session between them from after the England match that got Isagi inspired to hone a side weapon that gave him his much-awaited goal! Thanks for the info (and the shipping juice); now let's continue this game...

Direction and tactics are provided, and when one faults, its the fault of Snuffy, the CEO. With their organizational capability shown, we see them outmaneuver Isagi... Yup, it's getting serious now...
It's pretty funny how Italy's defining weapon is teamwork.

After Barou's goal to even the score (1-1) last chapter, Isagi discerns that it was his eyes that evolved. Little did he know that Barou wasn't the only player to evolve their eyes: NIKO DID SO TOO, and now, Isagi has an even match with Niko, Kaiser & Ness are at stalemate with Lorenzo, and this match has gotten more fired up!
Huh, it's been a while...
Things that have happened recently: The score is at 2-2. We got Snuffy's backstory & Barou not wanting him to retire, and the Star Change System has expired. Sendou replaces Snuffy. KIYORA, as the next best player, was set to replace Noa, but Isagi asked if he can have Hiyori play, but without a logical reason (Hiyori being in there just to help Isagi score, in hindsight, is pretty risky), Noa doesn't budge. This is where Hiyori defends Isagi. They have their way under the condition that if Germany loses, Isagi is out of the lineup. Meanwhile, Kiyora was relegated to next game. Michael and Ness will try to mess with Isagi's plans to try to 1-up him, and Italy will try to win...

Snuffy has the most fleshed out backstory of the masters, I can see why he's become a fandom favorite.
My prediction for the final goal is the Hiyori-Isagi combo barely missing the final shot, and Kunigami, who's been strangely absent from the proceedings, will poach the last point. Would be amusing, to say the least.
With the release of Chapter 238, the match between Bastard München and the Ubers ends with BASTARD MÜNCHEN'S WIN 3-2 with Isagi's goal and Hiyori's assist!! This also means that with 2 goals and 1 assist, Isagi won his bet against Kaiser, who only got one goal!! Hiyori was indeed Isagi's last piece!!
This chapter was also one with a center color! It's Halloween themed with Shidou, Otoya from above, Aryuu, Sendou, Isagi with Bachira riding on his shoulders, Zantetsu, Don Lorenzo, Tokimitsu, and Kiyora breakdancing! Oh, and a faint Ego as a ghost...

Other reactions seem to be looking forward. After all, the next (and last) match is against France, against Rin, Shidou, Karasu, Nanase, Tokimitsu, and Zantetsu of all people! Plus this is where Kiyora is to debut! Lots of possible plots are gonna clash! It might as well be the most anticipated part of the Neo Egoist League right now!
I'm opening this thread because there is no thread that exists for the Blue Lock Manga even though it's well known. Also, I figured that this can be a space for those who want to discuss about the manga spoilers. This can also be a space for theories regarding future chapters. So here's the first post:
Kunigami returns in chapter 155 (or 156), but his personality has drastically changed. His face has the Thousand-Yard Stare and he has a much more cynical philosophy regarding soccer. What happened to Kunigami in the Wild Card Room? All I know is that whatever happened in there must have been severely traumatic if you go based on Kunigami's expression.
