He was whining about people talking smack about him in social media.
Eh. He's rich.
It's always ok to dunk on the rich.
Getting serious, maybe that wasn't the fairest time to do it, but I think most people think it's always ok to dunk on the rich no matter what, even the ones who mean well, because some of them might genuinely not consider certain things due to their upbringing.
Edit: Oh. Well he should know better. It's Social Media. That's more evil than every super villain in existence.

One Strip! One Strip!People talk smack about everyone on social media, you shouldn't give a fuck about what they say. Though he would get the least brunt of it cause he is a white male.
Granted in this particular scenario he's experiencing a mid-life crisis so I guess he cares a great deal more what the public thinks of him than normal.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Looking forward to
More Professor X screaming.
More Storm manipulating the weather with the most grandiose speeches.
Nah, Xavier's screaming was fine. It was Rogue's screaming that could get painful on the ears. x_x Sheesh; Lenore Zann must have a windpipe of solid steel.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.John Colicos was truly the best voice for Apocalypse we've ever had.
I hope whoever they get to replace him for the new series manages to live up to him.
"I am the rocks of the eternal shore. Crash against me and be BROKEN!"
"How many peoples have dreamed of my end....You are no closer than the Babylonians with their swords and fire sticks!"
"I am not malevolent, I simply am."
Damn thats some good boasts.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I do miss Professor X's futurechair.
Assuming they bring him back, wasn't he defeated in his last appearance?
No, there was one last appearance with Fabian Cortez trying to get a vessel for him to return. Apocalypse uses Cortez as his vessel in the last scene of the episode.
My list of good X-Men TAS voices: Wolverine, Beast, Jean, Cable, Apocalypse...Sabretooth and his accent which I 'm not sure why he has it but okay.
I did like Sabes' look in TAS, to be honest. Sabretooth should look like a n animal, not just a big guy with long hair. Or short hair. That terrible Wolverine movie couldn't even get "long hair" right
Speaking of TAS' influence, is it it all TAS' fault that Sabretooth is often a flunky of Magneto in adaptions? It just doesn't make sense. I know Magneto can vary in terms of villainy but I don't see why he'd stomach the very wort mutantkind has to offer or why Sabretooth, bestial killer, wants to work for a man with high ideals.
Also more praise for TAS, the part where Graydon Creed's racist friends drop him off onto an island with his pops. Great episode ending.
Re: Sabretooth as Magneto's fkunky. Not just TAS though it didnt help. Evolution and the first live action movie also went with this version, the latter in particular cemented pop culture Sabretooth as The Brute rather than an effective villain in his own right.
Character wise, Origins is probably actually the closest to a comics Sabretooth in personality despite literally everything else being awful.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Comics sabretooth is a Genuis Bruiser with the drive to destroy Wolverine
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Didn't TAS Sabertooth only work for Magneto once or twice and he operated on his own most of the time?
Yeah, I remember TAS Sabretooth more as an independent villain?
In the actual series he was his own guy mostly but in the opening he is on the "Magneto" side which makes him look more like a follower (same as Mystique.)
Evolution was the series who made him a Brotherhood member and then the film that made him just a dumb savage thug.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Cast Herd. Easier to force him into plots if he has connections to main villain. Same reason Mystique often works for Magneto in adaptation despite that in comics she was usually in charge of her team.
I will defend Tyler Mane as The best Film Sabretooth because he actually looked the part and is also just a great physical actor like Ray Park. Schreibertooth could have been any generic villain in anything.

Visually sure, but they're talking about his characterization.
Schreiber I think is the closest to the actual root of the character as a sadistic Genius Bruiser type even if he didn't have the physicality for it.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Meanwhile the previous version of Sabertooth was basically a plain mook with no character.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Speaking of different versions of the X-Men characters, it's 29 years later and I still say the Animated Series version of Mystique is the best version of her.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue. The thing about TAS Sabey is that the only time he had an outright direct approach with the X-Men was during that one time he was working with Mags. The rest were independent excursions on his own focused solely on Wolverine. So I guess that former thing stuck.
Speaking of which I find it funny that despite X-Men vs Street Fighter taking the cartoon as basis, they never had Birdey appear in the show.

Funniest thing about Victor is that every year on Wolverine's birthday he seeks him out to torment him in some way.
Honestly he's very creative. From something as simple and petty trip-wiring the road so Logan winds up driving neck first on his motorcycle with Victor mocking him to then fly off on his jetpack.
To something as convoluted and diabolical as pretending to be a parental substitute to Daken all into engineer a conflict with X-Force and the Brotherhood all so Logan would be forced to murder his own son by drowning him in a shallow puddle all so he could hurt him far deeper than he ever could before.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Though in the aforementioned context, Hellcat could have picked a better moment to call out Tony's privilege then him in his hospital bed suffering multiple shattered bones from risking his life to save people.
At least call him out when he actually does something bad.
