I mean, I definitely agree that Luz's final form was super cool. [lol]

The Amphibia trio going full Getter Robo at the end was basically the perfect storm of anime bullshit for me. I can't say why, but Amphibia consistently hit me harder and drew me in more than Owl House did. Both were fantastic, but only Amphibia hit me with that post-finale ennui that comes when something you loved ends. I really feel like Owl House needed another season or so to cook.

Think Amphibis’s finales were stronger (and that’s with grading TOH on a curve), but I felt sadder at seeing TOH go.

Also, while I enjoyed the anime bullshit part of me keeps wondering if it (along with the Guardian stuff) we’re unnecessary escalations.

My personal opinion is “who gives a shit, they’re both fantastic shows”.

Heck, Dana even included Matt Braly in the Special Thanks part of the credit in her finale.

Oh she did? That's really cool, I didn't notice that.

But yes, they're both excellent shows and I thoroughly enjoyed watching both of them.

Oh, for sure. They were the best western cartoons still running. There's nothing even comparable airing now.

Dana, Matt and Alex Hirsch are up there with Nate Stevenson, Genndy Tartovsky and Olan Rogers for MVP animated showrunners of the modern day in my book for sure.

Uh, re: Amphibia's finale (and having yet to watch TOH), I wasn't sure how to feel about the final battle itself but everything to do with the goodbyes and the Time Skip was solid gold and wonderfully bittersweet, easily some of the best material I've seen in any show in recent memory.

I don't know. Besides Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur moving into that direction, The Ghost and Molly Mc Gee gets around the episodic format by having a good amount of status quo changes and tight continuity.

I mean Scratch warming up to Molly and family happening before the first half of S1 ended whereas you'd think it would take a while season for that change.

Or even Libby being told about Scratch also before the first half of S1 ended, with them going on a Scavenger Hunt which calls back to the episodes in that stretch of the series.

Bumping this thread to propose a theory. Considering we have no idea what kind of people Marcy's friends in Hopkinton are and zero clue on their personalities or even names, what do you all think of the theory on Marcy befriending a kind nature loving girl, a generous fashionista, a loyal sports girl, an honest apple farmer, and a laughter party loving girl?

Im pretty sure that's a joke idea but I don't like it. Mlp was fine, I watched most of it, but not every show needs to copy those same 6 archetypes. I'd rather fan artists and writers come up with OCs who are more... original. No offense. It's fine if you like it.

Good news, we finally got an update on what Matt Braly has been doing after Amphibia ended.

He recently made a comic for Sonic the Hedgehog Fast Friends Forever series.

More importantly, we have info on what his next projects are:

Is it amazing how Braly will become another Gravity Falls alumni making a movie like Michael Rianda for The Mitchells and the Machines and Jeff Rowe for TMNT Mutant Mayhem?

Also seems we are getting an Amphibia graphic novel next year since Marcy's Journal sold well.

How amazing is this news?

Since this thread got bumped, I wanna bring this up: on the off chance that Andrias hadn't betrayed everyone and turned out to be evil, how would Marcy have pulled off her plan to take her, Anne, and Sasha on more adventures for the rest of their lives? Like it's not as though she was planning to confess the truth, so how would she have even convinced them to go along with going on more world traveling adventures without telling them why she wanted to do so?
