As I said before, Derrick tried to adhere way too much to OG Ben 10 lore or anything that was remotely implied and some of his retcons were extremely clumsy or more head aching than the original plot holes (like the whole Rooters stuff raises more questions than it answers them)
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Omniverse is at Its best when they were doing their own thing like Malware and Kundo. And of course rook.
Issues arise when they try amd build off earlier stuff.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."less build off, more tear down and rebuild it really
Secret SignatureIs this Gwen look really that terrible? Granted, some screenshots make her look awkward, but still is it really that bad?.
Still find it odd Gwen wears glasses. Considering she didn't show any sign of vision problems in the first three Ben 10 series and even the future shown in The End of an Era shows Future Gwen isn't wearing glasses so it's confusing why Omniverse Gwen all of a sudden began wearing glasses?
They might just be a look thing. Dunno why she's back to lucky girl shirts though. (Granted AF/UA Gwen does suffer from looking a bit too bland outfit wise)

Secret SignatureI think it's because Gwen is the "nerdy" one of the group, and the only way the cartoonists could think to express that was to give her glasses.
And Lucky Cat shirts because that's the way she looked in the OS. What'd you want them to do, not make everything as much like the OS as they could?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I mean, it's nice she's back to brighter colours at least!
Secret SignatureI think the glasses is meant to be an excuse for Anodite Gwen to get the Lucky Girl mask, but I would just remove them since they obscure a very crucial detail about Gwen's design.
She is Ben's cousin... to the point that they could almost be considered twins since they happened to be born on the same day at almost same minute. As such, the OG designs of Ben and Gwen are almost identical (with hair and eye shapes being the only real difference) and it's something that every future Ben and Gwen design follows. It's a nice little detail and I get disappointed anytime where those details are downplayed (such as Gwen's green eyes being more muted compared to Ben's).
Honestly just assumed the glasses were a "college hipster" thing (potentially because of Ben recreating the universe).

"screw you Gwen here's some wine aunt glasses"
Secret SignatureBlame the Celestialsapiens!
EDIT: Wait a minute. How is Chadzmuth aware of this?

I really dont want to speak ill of the dead, but the more I hear about Derrick the less I like him. Also, I dont care what people say, I hate Kai.
EDIT: Also Snailfish, you are right, if she hadnt said that I wouldnt hate her. But this is hardly the huge revelation. You are OBVIOUSLY not going to get hated if you dont do awful things. I dont even know what that's supposed to say.

Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.A rare shot of Omniverse having pupils (aside from Rook's species and Fistrick).
It doesn't look bad honestly.
Kuro takes a view on the Secret Saturdays crossover and he also argues about how the crossover was mishandled.
Kuro then gives a view on Tummy Trouble. The episode is notable for introducing the subspecies concept and starting the Incursian arc, as well as Attea's reintroduction.
Ben saying "Road trip" makes me think that "Tummy Trouble" should be seen as blueprint for how Season 9 of Omniverse could have looked like.
You know something sad about Kevin's first appearance in the original show? Unlike most of the villains he wasn't super evil when Ben met him. He was just a socially maladjusted little boy with powers, and the worst thing he did was steal stuff to get by. In fact he's introduced giving Ben a bunch of tokens, and keep in mind he didn't know the kid was a "freak" like him then.
Granted he had a lot of hate for the world, but not the backbone to act on it. Then this strange shape-shifting alien boy enters his life, and for the first time Kevin has a friend. And soon he starts acting on his vengeful fantasies because he has a partner in crime now. Ben didn't actually start trying to talk Kevin out of this until after he crossed a line at the Subway, and by then Kevin is too drunk on power.
Then he gets hit with the addictive energy of the Omnitrix, losing his humanity and slowly devolving into the monstrous, sociopathic beast who teams up with Vilgax to kill Ben.
All because Ben was in a bad mood at his grandpa. By going along with Kevin in stealing that game, he might have just enabled that kid's darker impulses, and it created a monster in Kevin 11. Which means Ben technically did turn Kevin into a monster, just not in the way Kevin blamed him for.
"I am the lord of Purity, who tolerates no deviation." My first online storyGuess that may further explain why Ben was willing to give him another chance when meeting him again in Alien Force.
In the timeline in Omniverse where Ben never gets the watch, Kevin is a normal guy who happens to be a pickpocket.
Like, what really fucked up his life was getting involved in all the alien stuff. He wouldn't be a good guy, but he would never have gotten as crazy as he did without a push.
Not to mention going through an ungodly, agonizing transformation into a mix-match mutant as a child. I'd probably be savage and angry all the time too.
Although it's odd that he's just a pickpocket in the universe where he never met Ben. Shouldn't he maybe be like, a full on gang boss with absorbing powers? Or in a government laboratory? Or working a high paying construction job for somebody who can manipulate matter and energy?
"I am the lord of Purity, who tolerates no deviation." My first online storyKevin doesn't learn how to absorb matter until Kwarrel teaches him in jail, right? There's a solid chance no-watch Kevin just doesn't know how to do that.
Also, I'm not sure how criminally minded OS Kevin was based on the brief glimpses we get in his debut episode. It seems to me that his time in the Null Void and hanging out with guys like Argit is what turned him into the arms dealer we see in the first Alien Force episode.
Derrick J Wyatt claimed Kevin doesn't have powers in the No Watch timeline.
I'm not complaining but why did the show have a giant busty Cute Monster Girl?
Why not?
Wake me up at your own risk.
It's pretty wild that when someone told Derrick that the original Ben 10,000 was never Ben's future, he responded with "Your 'plot holes' are irrelevant." Even the show pointed out that Ben 10,000 would've remembered going into the future if he was Ben Prime's real future.
What's even more annoying was that Ken 10 never established that Kai and Ben were married. For all we knew, Ben could've married another dark-skinned woman. Yeah the pop-ups said so but those are generally unreliable as the writers and show ignore and/or retcon them.
Scar himself looks like foreign, weak, and with very female moves.
