Oh my god, this manga is 10 years old. Man, that is quite a long runner, it seems.
Even that video from Linkara is already 6 years old. I think it came out just a little while after the English translation of the dragon chapters got published (hence why it was requested in the first place, I'd wager).

The one manga I hope Linkara eventually reviews is Spider-man Octopus-girl, since it would be interesting to see his opinion on that story and how characters are written.
Going back on topic, I would enjoy if a future what-if?/bonus chapter included an expansion on the shapeshifter scenario, showing how other character percieve our main group, like Falin and Shuro. It could even include the opposite, and show how Laios and co. percieve them.

Episode 19: Welcome to the party, Izutsumi! You have no idea what youโre in for.
Again, fantastic directorial flourishes all around. Marcilleโs nightmare being shot in black and white was a cool choice, and I think the floating portraits are anime-original? Whatever the case, they punctuated how somber Marcilleโs mood was.
Always thought it was cool how this settingโs Nightmares drew from the shen from Chinese mythology.

After what I imagine will be the end point of the season, chapter 52 after the Griffin, when the party is resting in that dwarven cable car and discussing the plan to eat the dragon parts of Falin, we have the mini-arc with the Canaries that ends with Kabru and Mithrun getting dumped into the dungeon; the Bicorn; then the succubi. That's about 11 chapters, so I would expect it maybe mid-first cour in season 2.
It's been fun.

This dream is just full of foreshadowing and important little details. Questions you should be asking after seeing this:
- Why is Marcille having this nightmare in a library?
- Why is she a small girl here?
- Why did her dad die of old age while she was still so young?
- What is that monster supposed to represent?
- Why does Laios age when the monster attacks him?
- Why does the monster suck in Laios but not Marcille?
- Is Marcille's fear a common fear for elves?
- What is that book she attacks the monster with? Have we seen it before? Why that book? And why does it work as a weapon?
And as a bonus round: that monster Laios comes up with in his own dream... we will see that one again!
