....... so wait. Is there gonna be hand-drawn animation or not?!
Whew!
They sure are throwing us for a loop from the poster!
I probably should have mentioned this sooner, but Nickelodeon is holding an art contest on tumblr. The winners will get to have their works shown off at the Nickelodeon booth at San Diego Comic-Con.
Bump
Spumco Ren and Stimpy and Early Spongebob are my favorites. Rocko and Rugrats are good too. I also thought Drake and Josh was decent. Other than that, nickelodeon's shows range from okay to awful imo. Some I haven't watched since a kid or haven't watched at all though..

Supports cartoons being cartoony!I had no idea we had Nickelodeon thread. How is the channel doing in terms of quality recently?

Well, let's check the list, shall we?:
-Nickelodeon isn't called Nickelodeon anymore
-"Every witch way" and "The Haunted Hathaways" still have seasons to go.
-There was a show called "Every witch way" and "The Haunted Hathaways".
-"Sam And Cat" ended(Thank God)
-They decided to stop airing "The Legend of Korra" on TV, and watching it on digital isn't any better.
-Sanjay And Craig is getting stupider, but still has continuity.
Yeah. I say Nick is doing a GREAT job in quality.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNick tries too hard to be relevant and modern. It's quite cringe-worthy seeing their commercials when im forced to watch it my younger sibling or other kids. These stupid modern rap-influenced ads need to stop being shown every second.
Supports cartoons being cartoony!... how is Nickeloden not called Nickelodeon anymore?? They didn't drop the name.
It's known more now as Nick than good ye olde -elodeon.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceBut it's real name is still Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon still appears on the TV bumps. Press releases, and people I know, still call it Nickelodeon.
That makes sense but back then, Nicktoons/Nickelodeon use to mean something of sheer quality.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI don't remember if I've said this before but while everyone and their grandmother is getting so absurdly anal about modern Nicktoons and treating them all like a disgusting Satanic entity that will end us all or some shit like that, I merely consider them mediocre/unremarkable (except Legend of Korra).
On my wave, passing oooooooonNicktoons nowadays do get overhated. Breadwinners isnt terrible and Sanjay and Craig is inoffensive. Nothing that should warrant a network to go bankrupt.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!I'd dare someone to try telling that to the rest of internet... It's fucking impossible to do so, almost everywhere I've gone.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.meh. I've tried on You Tube. Some agree, some disagree. Nothing new.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Good Job on that, then - However, whether I watch them or not, I can only hope for their sake that the next 2 - 3 animated shows coming out soon are a step up in quality overall...
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.thanks!
the shows look interesting artistically, but are nothing that new plot wise. Just the typical "group of kids get into wacky antics".

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Honestly, a lot of the shows people rave about from '90s Nickelodeon were in the same vein. You just look at them more favorably because you grew up with them. Had you grown up with the current generation of shows, you'd likely have formed the same attachment to them.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Umm..what? I know this premise has been used in nick cartoons since the 90s with hey arnold, rocket power, etc. It's not a bad premise, just redundant.
My favorite nicktoons didn't even have this exact premise.. So I can't have an attachment to shows I don't remember, didn't watch, or liked.
Supports cartoons being cartoony! It's been used in cartoons in general since at least the '70s or '80s, probably even earlier.
And you're missing my point. The fact that you grew up with whatever shows means that you're more likely to judge them less harshly and have more fondness for them.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.It has. You could say it got really popular from Scooby Doo or the Archies.
OK. That makes more sense. I admit that I do criticize shows I still like from a kid a little less harsher :/
I.e WB and some other classic cartoons, Early HB, Spumco Ren and Stimpy
Then again, I don't watch a lot of cartoons past the 60s nowadays. With the exceptions of some. I feel so out of touch cartoon wise lol

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Apparently they're making a School of Rock tv series
So is the TheHauntedHathaways really that similar to WizardsofWaverlyPlace? If so, then that kills my interest immediately. I hated the latter.

Yeah, I heard that from a lot of people. For me, I just hope there is 2D in the movie.
