Well, it's kind of under their copyright and it was technically illegally uploaded. They have the right to enforce their copyrights. Granted, it'd be less obnoxious if they gave it an official release, but eh, whaddaya gonna do.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.

AND Its made by the guys who made The Princess And The Frog so we could be in for a treat. At least not a Pseudo Feminist Brenda Chapman abomination.

Maybe it's just because of the boat, but the concept art reminds me a bit of Wind Waker.

Patf? that might result in a overly complicated mess of a story. My greatest worry was that the people behind Moana would sink so deep in the myths that they struggle to put together a coherent story. Now I am even more worried.

Using PATF as a comparison is tricky, because some like that film, and others hate it.

I am hyped too! I'm just saying I would hesitate to bring up something that some people would care not to remember.

I didn't PATF complicated to follow, I just thought it was soulless and trying too hard to fit the Disney film mold.

The directors who made TPATF also made The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules and Treasure Planet. Even if you don't like their last movie, I wouldn't instinctively worry that this movie will be bad based on their involvement.

As long as there's no Scuttle equivalent, I'm happy. Because fuck Scuttle.

[down] At least be polite about it.

[up][up][up]Aladdin, Hercules and Treasure Planet are also movie which have basic plotting problems...with Aladdin, nobody notices because it is so flashy otherwise. Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie, and I really like treasure Planet, but I am also not blind to the faults of those movies. And especially Hercules is yet another movie which is trying to hard, just like Pat F - and don't get me wrong, there is a lot to like about Patf. But when I know "those people have made good movies, but they tend to loose focus when it comes to plotting" then I am not sure if I would give them a project which hinges on creating a new plot around a lot of myths. I would be way too worried that they loose focus.

But I guess someone will keep an eye on the project, right?

[up][up][up]Eh, I'm optimistic enough about the project and the directors. Even if the film ends up being equivalent to their least coherent film (cough Herc) it's still going to be visually interesting and entertaining. I actually enjoyed Patf considerably more than Frozen or Tangled because it actually felt like an honest Disney movie than something that's trying so desperately to distance itself away from the studio.

Also Pretty Coco, you may seriously dislike Brave, but using Brenda Chapman's name as an insult doesn't work because she was also responsible for Prince of Egypt. If you can forgive Ron and Jon for their mistakes, I think Brenda can at least get a nod for Prince of Egypt.

In fact, I think Moana would work better if it was more like Po E than Pat F. Just my opinion though.

EDIT: Sorry, I was late to the party XD

OH BOY I FORGOT. The Women of The Prince Of Egypt are AWESOME SAUCE.

I stil dont think that was thanks to Chapman though. TLK and Brave try their darnedest to be feminist but fail.

TLK:If Nala is stronger than Simba why does she and the other lionesses even need him? Why cant they just rip Scar a new one? Why does the movie focus so little on Sarabi? BECAUSE THEY NEED A COCK WEILDER TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS LOL.

Brave:Actually, I have to admit Elinor is pretty awesome. But Merida brings the whole thing down.

To be fair that's Truth in Television. Lionesses are far better at hunting than the male lions, and if they ever tried to revolt and kill the leading male they could do it, they just... don't.
