The Diamond Dogs are just a reference to a David Bowie album (and also related to the Punny Name episode title of a dog and pony show.) I don't think they are meant to be gnolls just because gnolls are also dog-like fantasy critters. Personality wise they seem more akin to goblins with their desire for wealth, they aren't really skilled enough with mining to be dwarves, but physically they seem to be anthro dogs just like how Capper is an anthro cat.

I checked Wikipedia, and all the people named Saffron there are English, British, American, or New Zealand, which makes me think that's not really something an Indian would name their child.

I said that Saffron as a name exist in real life, not that is found in India.

Anyone find it odd how Twilight didn't realize Discord had done something to her friends during Return of Harmony? Surely the loss of color and their out of nowhere bad attitudes would've clued her in on Discord doing something to brainwash them. Instead, she somehow thinks her friends were acting like that of their own free will.

I think that was Idiot Ball, but alternatively Discord could also do something to Twilight's mind, but subtly so she doesn't realise.

Or it's her in-character idiocy of not handling setbacks well.

Even if she did realized he tampered with their minds, would it change anything? Their friendship still failed to stop him from corrupting them and it still took the external intervention to make her figure out how to use friendship to thwart it.

Also at this point they haven't dealt with any threats with mind manipulation powers, I don't even recall mine magic being established yet.

At least if Twilight were quicker on the uptake, she'd realize that the Elements of Harmony would've been useless with her friends' brainwashing and try to either warn Celestia on what happened or come up with a back up plan.

Plus, shouldn't their loss of color have clued Twilight in? Anyone with eyes could see that something happened.

And this is a world with magic ponies, how would they not be aware about mind manipulation magic?

1. Again has mind manipulation magic been established as existing/common enough to consider prior to this? And is decoloration a known symptom of brainwashing as opposed to just depression at the time? (Her smarts is more limited to books as opposed to creative problem solving).
2. Maybe she thought the Elements would be enough to overcome their brainwashing (we don't no she didn't realize something was up) and afterward, she's been shown to lose her logical thinking under pressure.

Yes, I himself didn't know that Grandpa Gruff is favourite character of this artist. I included some bits of artists headcanon into mine headcanon, but without forgetting the fact that Grandpa Gruff in canon is far from saint. In fact, I thought of something like this: besides the fact that Grandpa Gruffs unpleasant behavior steems mostly from him being Grumpy Old Man, it's also a copying mechanism of his to hide his own insecurities (such as feeling that he's partially responsible for the loss of Idol of Boreas and the discrimination he faces from the other griffons due to having featherless, bald head). This means that even though he neglects Gallus, he still ultimately loves him, meaning that HE has a heart. It's an itty bitty heart, but it is there.

... You asked that before, and it's the same answer. We don't. That sort of thing is just stuff the fandom makes up. You're basically running across the flotsam and jetsam the old fandom left behind back in the day.

Ironically, Pinkie Pie is such a goofball she forgot when her own birthday was. XD Which resulted in one of the eeriest stories to ever grace the television screen. ;P

Actually, that has been officially stated as her birthday. Thoughts about that?

@Filip 04: Grandpa Gruff I don't believe qualifies as DILP because he's such a non-entity to the fandom (compared to practically everycreature else) there isn't enough fan content of him to say there's a general fandom trend.

Wow, I didn't even know her birthday being 2th May is official. Plus, you should had wrote "everyone" instead of "everycreature" (this is one of the reasons why I omit seasons 8 and 9).

Regarding this post, it's not my fault that I find posts on Youtube that celebrate characters birthdays, and I'm not sure if they're their official birthday dates or not.

It's not all that terrible. And I don't see how anyone would misspell Fluttershy or Applejack, since those are clearly single names, or Rainbow Dash, which is clearly two.

Eh, I've seen their names written like that occasionally. Not that often, but now and again.

Which is... I guess a little annoying? I think that that's about as strong a reaction as I'm willing to commit to.
