Either the reboot will get made with him, or it will get made without him by the CW.
I hope the reboot that Craig McCracken is involved with isn't the CW version.
I feel like the CW version was just quietly shelved/cancelled.
I wonder if Andy Bean will compose the music instead of James L. Venable? Given how he was the composer for Craig's recent series? (Wander Over Yonder, Kid Cosmic)
Anyone wonder if Frank Angones will have involvement in this? Given he was involved in Craig's last two shows Wander Over Yonder and Kid Cosmic, I am curious if he'll be involved in this show. It wouldn't be the first reboot he's worked on (remember DuckTales 2017).
In response to people asking what characters will be in the PPG reboot, McCracken has stated that he really doesn't know. So far, they're brainstorming a pilot story, but they haven't been greenlit yet. He also said that he's working with HB Studios Europe on this, not CN, and that he doesn't know where this will eventually end up.
Nothings been greenlit? Then, as far as I'm concerned there is no reboot.
But it was announced so it is legit, plus sometimes it takes time between greenlighting a reboot and greenlighting actual episodes.
Ducktales 2017 was greenlit around February 2015, but co-creator Frank Angones has said he joined the team in July of that year and writing on the pilot began in fall plus other co-creator Matt Youngberg began development on the show in June of that year according to Linkedin so clearly there's a gap between series greenlight and actual episodes greenlight.
The reboot is in development, it's just in preproduction. It hasn't gone to the stage of the pilot being accepted and given a series order and stuff. At least, that's what I'm gathering from all of this?
Seems like it. Which means this show (and presumably the new Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends series) are farther away than we probably assumed.
So, what do you all think of how how the 2016 reboot handled Princess Morebucks? How did it do in trying to give her more depth and a sympathetic side compared to the 1998 original even if it was wasted on such as weak reboot?
I liked it. "Poorbucks" is one of my favourite episodes of the 2016 show.

Craig McCracken confirmed the reboot is still happening and was even recently in a meeting today to discuss the next steps for the show.

I've always loved Him and this clip is why
aka the episode where he made the girls solve his riddles, I think Him got the best episodes.
New theme music also a boxI liked speed demon best. The world where him rules is genuinely creepy and sinister.
Plus I like how the plot gets started. Despite bubbles whining I think buttercup legit won their race and given buttercup's always getting zoidberg treatment to the point that she has no special power I like to think she is truly the fastest of the girls.

see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532"We did all this shit for a stupid bet over a free lunch?"
Optimism is a duty.I'd do anything for a free lunch, including but not limited to bargaining with the devil!
New theme music also a boxIt's even funnier since Him is really distraught at losing a customer.
Optimism is a duty. There is one way I could see The CW do Powerpuff Girls RIGHT and that's making a cartoon for a revived Saturday Morning Block. And before you say "Oh they would have to tone down the violence" so did CN and if Craig came back he could do it right.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.a cartoon based on The Powerpuff Girls airing anywhere other then cartoon network would feel wrong somehow
New theme music also a boxI know but I wanted to make clear what the The CW could do to do The Powerpuff Girls justice.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.On the fate of the CW reboot, it is confirmed that the live action adaptation has been cancelled so no need to worry on what a bad idea that show is now.
that was confirmed awhile back and I'm convinced it was some elaborate trolling
New theme music also a boxWhy does Ace decide to go back to GangGreen Gang with Gorillaz. I get Murdoc came back but still. What’s wrong with band ganging a new member? Power Rangers did it all the time hence the trope, Sixth Ranger. Gorillaz should be the one with Ace in the PPG episode, Hustlecup, not the GG Gang.
Jesus.
