If were talking about Disney in general, how do people feel about their TV output (outside of anything Disney Afternoon, because those shows are king and near flawless - FACT!!)?
Remember, I'm ONLY curious to hear some opinions on anything outside of the Disney Afternoon...
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Do you want to hear about the teen sitcoms?
No... By now, we already know the natural reaction or response to be made to such noise...
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I grew up with a portion of Disney Afternoon, at least until my parents decided they no longer wanted to pay for the Disney Channel.
Shows like Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, and Aladdin: The Animated Series still hold up well.
Phineas And Ferb- Wonderful. Not the best animation, but it serves the art design, and it serves the show well enough (when I first saw stills, I thought it was a Flash show). Great songs each episode, rocking theme, great characters, great jokes, great happy feeling, everything's great.
Gravity Falls- I consider it the second rank to the above show. It's got a great premise in an unexpected settings, the characters are likable and yet flawed, the art design is MORE impressive than Phineas and Ferb (seriously this LOOKS INCREDIBLE in HD, guys!!), and the mysteries are actually gripping.
Kid Vs Kat- Mediocre. Don't care for it.
Randy Cunningham- Never seen an episode but I may have it play while I work. The opening theme is done by Passion Pictures and looks more impressive than the actual show. Too much yelling and screaming. This is somewhere in the middle quality of Disney cartoons.
Kick Buttowski- Just a TINY bit of an improvement over Randy Cunningham. Animation is sleeker and more polished. Main character is full of himself yet has a heart underneath. He's just a kid in the end and yet he never completely breaks down.
I liked what I saw of Brandy and Mr. Whiskers. I have to admit, though, I always felt some Furry Confusion over whether Brandy was supposed to be a person with dog-like features like on Goof Troop, or if she was an actual dog that only acted like a person around other animals, or what. I mean, I saw the first episode, where they were kept in crates in the cargo hold of that plane, so that would mean Brandy was considered a pet of the Harringtons, right? A pet that's fully-clothed and walks upright? Eh... Unless anyone knows of an episode where they showed what kind of civilization Brandy and Mr. Whiskers came from, I guess they just left it up in the air.
I've liked some of their teen sitcoms; they're not great or anything but they have some decent writing.
They're definitely targeted at a younger audience and kind of suffers due to that but they really shouldn't be written off as bad.
Also Gravity Falls is in only in it's first season and I consider it miles ahead of any other show on the channel currently. It has Simpson-level of writing, fantastic art, great and likable characters, and they avoid Pac Man Fever to great effect.

my drawing blog ya'll UPDATES 10 TIMES A MONTH WOW, THIS IS STRAIGHT UP MUH SOGGY KNEEWhy is Pac Man Fever an issue, anyway? I'm curious.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I like Gravity Falls, but it does seem constrained by the way it has to fit in Aesops per Disney policy. For the most part it's done well, but certainly there's that token scene they have to fit in to get the moral out
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsSora pretty much said how I feel about the teencoms. Hell, I actually really even like Hannah Montana to a certain degree (and I only-slightly-ashamedly have "If We Were a Movie" on my iPod).
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Yeah I feel that holds Gravity Falls back from reaching true greatness, IMHO (if it hasn't already...).
I'm not going to pretend to act shocked nor surprised anymore... Why? BECAUSE Disney DID make heartfelt, intelligent enough, and legitimately GOOD sitcoms very well back then...
This just doesn't seem like the best place to discuss all that, IMHO (but these GOOD efforts were back when Disney had balance between animation and live-action in general.).

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED........There's a couple of names I'm thinking of right now and most of them involving insults regarding the teen sitcoms....anyways I pretty much grew up with thngs like Darkwing Duck, Ducktales and GARGOYLES! The latter being Keith David at his best!
Phineas and Ferb - I've seen quite a few epsiodes of Phineas and Ferb and I have to agree it's a stellar show, brilliant animation and pretty good songs there.
Gravity Falls - Haven't seen enough of Gravity Falls to vaild an opinion from it but I saw one episode of it and it's not bad I won't lie. But I am willing to see some more episodes of it once I've finished watching Spectactular Spider man...yeah I know I'm late to the party but better late than never right?
Kick Buttowski - I don't care for the show next!
Kid VS Kat - Sucks, end of.
Brandy and Mr Whiskers - Wouldn't really know because I've never heard or even watched the show.

"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus PrimeOh, I forgot
Fishhooks- Don't care for it. While the animation may be hilarious and it combines some cut-out photos into the animation, the stories are cliche, everyone screams, and everyone's selfish.
Fish Hooks needs no intro, as it is Definitely Disney's absolute WORST animated show in-house... Whereas Kid Vs Kat is by far Disney's worst acquisition, IMHO, too.

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I noticed no one mentioned Dave The Barbarian, which saddens me.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I have only watched a bit of Dave the Barbarian and I can't really say I love or hate it to be honest. Don't know much about it but I do know that Dave's voice is the same dude who did Jack Spicer and Montana Max and I did hear that Kevin Michael Richardson did a voice on there. Am I the only one who thinks that Kevin Michael Richardson is in EVERYTHING nowadays?

"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus PrimeSpeaking of Disney Cartoons, has there been one that's been able to succeed Gargoyles(in terms of quality and tone)? Phineas and Ferb seems to be considered the best Disney cartoon currently, but other than Tron and maybe avengers has there been one which has matched Gargolyes?
Speaking of Sora and Disney coms...

I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsI'd say that'd be Gravity Falls.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatNik Ranieri, a hand-drawn animator who worked at Disney for 25 years straight, had his last day at the company yesterday. In this day and age, the idea of an employee staying at one place for over one decade is becoming out-dated. Today, he finally spoke up:
"It has been several weeks since my last Animator page posting. As you’re probably all well aware by now, I no longer work for The Walt Disney Company. June 10th was my last day. In October of this year, it would have been 25 years. Disney was my home for the last quarter century and I’ll always be grateful for the people I worked with and the experience I gained there. The last couple of years have been the most difficult of my career. At times I was filled with hope that my skills would be utilized in a new hand-drawn film. At other times, I doubted that a hand-drawn feature—hybrid or otherwise—would be produced at all. We were pretty much kept in the dark for over 2 years and once the word did come out that no more hand-drawn features would be produced, it was only a matter of days before we were “given our notices”. I’m not so much sad that I was let go as I am sad that they gave up on a medium that, if given the right treatment, could be a viable product once again. You may wonder, what will I be doing now. I can’t tell you that because I don’t know. It is said that when God closes one door, He opens another. I pray that He will guide me to the right door and that I’ll open it with confidence. Not in myself but in Him who guides my path.
As a parting reminder of my last years at Disney, here is my last hand-drawn test for a Disney production. I was asked to animate the character of Ralph from “Wreck-it Ralph”, as a guide for the animation of the character in the film. It took me 2 months to animate this scene because,
1. I had to adjust the look of the character as it changed, which meant redoing some of it and
2. I basically did all the drawings myself. Most animators don’t do every drawing in a scene, but I wanted it fully animated and since I didn’t have any inbetweeners, I had to draw everything.
That actually looked... enticing enough - that I'm now sorry I skipped that movie.
Damn it, Disney - I know they're getting better (but only a little by little), but still, in both regards.

I feel somewhat sad.
The world isn't ready for giant T4 combustion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GbpGiYmBSs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKm9Disney is getting better yet Pixar is getting worse.
The world isn't ready for giant T4 combustion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GbpGiYmBSs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKm9Pixar had 2 okay movies lately. If Monsters University flops, THEN we can have more of an excuse to say that Pixar isn't as good.
Eh, I'd say A Bugs Life is just okay. It was never really that memorable to me, aside from a throwaway line, bizarrely. ("Who ordered the pu pu platter?")
