Reduce every character to their base artwork, and give quality upgrades to the base artworks if possible.

I agree that images pertaining to alternate costumes can be removed since it's an ever updating list of them and thus can cause a lot of bloat.

"Elite" is the Arknights term for a promotion. "Elite 2" is the rank that gives the Operator (playable character) a new artwork. It's similar to Fate/Grand Order's Ascensions.

Arknights is a gacha game, in the manner of Fate/Grand Order or Girls' Frontline. Much like in those games, sometimes a character's artwork will change once they have been upgraded to a certain point, and players can purchase cosmetic skins that will change the character's appearance. Including those images is the primary reason for the "image bloat" on these character pages. As a result of the action taken due to the linked thread, however, the two characters listed as examples — and only those two characters — have had all of their character images removed except for the base artwork.
I do not necessarily disagree with the reasoning behind removing this artwork — image bloat could certainly be considered a problem. However, I disagree with the lack of consistency displayed here. Either these characters should have their Elite 2 and cosmetic skin artwork restored (I agree that "character's appearance in X chapter or side story" artworks can probably be left out), in a manner consistent with the rest of the characters on the page, or every character on the page should be reduced to only their base artwork. As should every character on every character page for Arknights. And I would expect the same treatment for games like Girls Frontline and Fate: Grand Order as well.
If we are going to implement this change, we should do it consistently.
