Why would Sony and Microsoft limit local multiplayer? And the recent Xboxes are incapable of it apparently?

I wonder if they'll also include characters that are currently manga-exclusive like Moro or Granolah.

I'm not entirely sure, but Unreal Engine 5 is still relatively new tech at the moment, so maybe rendering split-screen multiplayer is a bit much for consoles, especially with all the flashier auras and more destructible stages.

As cool as it'd be to have Moro, 73, Granola and Gas, I have a feeling it'll be a while before they get added to games. I think the main thing holding them back is the lack of voice actors. Sure, JJBA ASB has manga characters, but that was mostly because that game was made for the series' then 35th anniversary (and re-released on the 45th).

I wouldn't count on it, not until they show up in animated form. They haven't been added to Heroes either.

Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta as DLC.

New Sparking Zero V-Jump scans of Goku and Vegeta. Nothing new aside from some different screenshots.

Mentions that Goku can power up with Kaioken and teleport with Instant Transmission, as well as his Kamehameha getting more powerful with each form. Vegeta on the other hand all about long-range attacks, and also puts emphasis on Oozaru and Super Vegeta since they havent been playable in a while. Also, the bottom of the Vegeta page says that the theme of the next character reveals will be "POWER VS SPEED".

Dypso for Speed, perhaps?

Jiren and Dyspo maybe?

I feel like Jiren and Hit are the most likely.

I do wonder how the next reveals will work. Since the Tenkaichi series counts transformations as their own characters, that means the Rivals trailer TECHNICALLY revealed around 20 new characters. I don't think the next trailer will reveal as many, but I do think it'll probably reveal a good handful. As for the Power VS Speed theme, I could definitely see Burter, Hit and Dyspo being a part of the speed characters. Power characters will probably be comprised of characters like Frieza, Jiren and Broly.

Aside from the new characters, the scan also revealed a few new gameplay mechanics:

• Super Deflection: Being able to deflect supers like the Kamehameha at the right time, like in Raging Blast.
• Vanishing Assault: A medium-range gut-punch that you can follow up with another attack.
• Revenge Counter: You'll be able to counterattack your opponent immediately after being blown away by their attack.

There's going to be a gameplay showcase on Wednesday. Might be more than just the Power vs Speed trailer, it's going to be 13 minutes long.

Looks like the blast stock system is back! Interesting thing to note, SSB Goku's ultimate in the gameplay seems to be a variation of Super Kamehameha, but if I remember correctly, the last trailer ended with him doing the x20 Kaioken Spirit Bomb. I wonder what's up with that...

Edit : Oh universe 2 lady? Was expecting her boss ribarine (cringe) from that universe. Maybe Kakusana's girlfriend Bikal will get in. Her design is great.

With Kakunsa making the cut, we can probably expect Rebrianne and Rozie too.

Anyway, the gameplay and new trailer both looked great, that Kale/Broly bit looked amazing.

Also, as a note, the trailer was definitely implying a lot of unique character intros.

Like Burter's comment about "being the fastest no matter the universe" is likely meant to be him vs. Dyspo.

I really like how the blast stocks are being utilized for the new gameplay mechanics. I do remember people saying beam deflections in Raging Blast used to be spammed a lot, so I'm pretty sure this helps mitigate that.

It should be strategy.
