Oh, they've never paid the riggers much. But these are issues with the original illustrations, not the rigging
Though, Shu's legs have always looked like that, they were just covered enough to not look disproportionate. But the ginormo hand is new!

Can't watch the video at the moment, but I'm guessing it had to do with Fubuki's declaration that as long as she hasn't quit, people can put their trust in Cover, back during Coco and Haachama's 3-week suspension over the Taiwan hooplah. That one statement saved Cover's hide, imo, because people were still really sore from Mio's unexpected hiatus and near-termination during the summer because of the copyright fiasco, and you could see it in the subreddit at the time; people were really going hard on Cover. It's a stark contrast to how they're viewed today. Fubuki lost hundreds of thousands of subscribers in bilibili because of that statement and standing by Coco and Haachama.
There was also the time when she saved Marine and Shion's hides when she did that guerilla stream counting down from when their stream was supposed to start. If she hadn't, the backlash that the two would've gotten would have been far worse; this was probably the first time someone had ever been so late to a scheduled stream without any update or warning. Instead, Fubuki managed to turn it into something entertaining that people could laugh at.
