And it's already funded. Dang that was quick.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2In fact, its been funded so fast it might have caused Server Issues at Kickstarter itself, as I can barely access the page.
Watch SymphogearI can't access the page, what exactly was the threshold they were asking for?
500,000.
Watch Symphogear500,000 dollars. When I was actually able to look at the page they were still getting a lot of money.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2They made it in 3 hours, and caused kickstarter to crash 3 seperate times. Crazy.
Hopefully, they, like Koji Igarashi, learned from Mighty N0 9's and Keiji Inafune's mistakes and get it done more smoothly after the kickstarter is finished.
Watch SymphogearLast I checked, $500,000 was for a PC version of the game. I would imagine versions of the game for other consoles are reserved for bigger stretch goals.
Speaking of consoles, while they plan to have it for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, they ended up saying about Nintendo's next system, which caused quite a stir on Twitter. If I had to wager a guess, it was due to concerns that a Switch version for this game might not have been feasible. Or rather, it wouldn't be ready until the Switch was on its last legs. (Which I find weird, because the overworld navigation gave me Octopath Traveller vibes, so I don't see the unfeasible aspect.)
However, the debating seems to be moot since the Kickstarter evidently removed any references to Nintendo.
That aside, holy cow, a spiritual successor to another Konami IP?! If this ends up turning out great like Bloodstained did, when should we expect spiritual successors to Metal Gear or Zone of the Enders? Either way, Konami would probably be steamed at this.

Would it be too early to make a page for it? I don't mind doing it, since I want to contribute somehow and I don't have disposable income to back it right now. The Kickstarter page has a nice amount of info,
The kickstarter page seems to show some self-awareness of the mistakes other campaigns have made, which is nice, but I think they're stuck in kind of an unenviable position because of the timing of this kickstarter. IMO, you should develop this kind of project with the minimum amount of platforms possible, to make development go smoother and not have as much of a headache with fulfilling promises. But because of this transitory period they're gonna have to develop the game for both current gen and next gen Sony and Microsoft consoles, as well as Nintendo's new hardware in the future whatever it might be.
Already has double the amount. As usual, people are having an orgasm due to the schadenfreude towards Konami.
I did donate to Mighty Number 9, shame on you. I did donate to Yooka Laylee, shame on me. I've refused to donate any further. I've never played Suikoden and my interest in video games (especially indie ones) is quickly dwindling.
Bloodstained did well, and the team is explicitly stating they are more like Koji Igarashi and learned from the mistakes of other Kickstarter bombs.
Watch SymphogearAnd they've passed 1 million so it's coming to console.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Passed 2 Million and a number of Stretch Goals.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.Mariam Abounnasr will possibly be working on this? I quite like her work with Procyon and other studios so I'm hopeful for her to provide some stellar work on this project.
Nearly at 3 million and nearly 108 characters. Wonder if they are gonna be cheeky and try to add more than 108.
Either way backed because Suikoden is best game series.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.Well, Bloodstained ended up being great, so let's hope this is another homerun.
Dawn of the Final Day for the Kickstarter.
Watch SymphogearAlso Yooka Laylee wasnt bad. It just wasnt great.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireProblem is, overfunded Kickstarters like this promise great games.
The Devs have addressed a lot of those issues on their page and in their Q And A section. It helps that despite the funding, they knew how limit how many stretch goals they actually can pull off.
Watch SymphogearAnd its fully funded, including all the stretch goals, at 4.56 Million US Dollars.
Watch SymphogearHey, some of overfunded kickstarters do provide good or great games I'd say most of them actually overall
And the Kickstarter is only about gauging the public interest. They've said they are getting funding elsewhere from a publisher.
A bunch of developers on the first two Suikoden games are crowdfunding a spiritual successor.
Suikoden is one of my favorite game series, so I'm excited for this, although I am a bit cautious given that some Kickstarters for games like these have gone poorly.
The screenshots and brief gameplay footage look gorgeous though.
