I really liked Scott's review of Mario Kart Wii. It's further proof of why I think Scott is the Groucho Marx of Generation Z (Bing.com lists Generation Z as being children born from 1995 to 2010)
I was surprised to learn from Scott how hard it was to get Mario Kart Wii. I just pre-ordered it from my local Blockbuster. On Sunday April 27 2008, I called Blockbuster to assure they had Mario Kart Wii in stock and I just walked over and got it.
Like Scott, my favorite part of Mario Kart Wii was getting to play as my personal Mii. I had been realistic and made my Mii on the shorter side but I increased the height of my Mii because I did not like the baby voice Mario Kart Wii gives to smaller Miis. By the time of Mario Kart 8, the novelty value of the Miis wore off and I didn't use them in Mario Kart 7.
One thing that's unusual about Mario Kart Wii is that it's one of the few Mario sports or board games that takes considerable effort to unlock Princess Daisy. Usually she's one of the first characters available but not so with Mario Kart Wii. Unlike Scott, I loved the statue of Luigi and Daisy dancing in Mario Kart Wii.
