I knew I had heard that name before!

There's a Norse singer called Sissel Kyrkjebø, a Swedish health brand, a Danish clothing brand, and those are just the first three Sissels Google comes up with. It is a Norwegian name based on Cecilia. There's also a Jewish rye bread called sissel bread.

Clearly the name didn't come out of nowhere either.

And yes, Sissel is a boy, despite his girlish looks and name.

Laios actually starting to learn magic surprised me a bit, I've kinda gotten used to characters in D&D style fantasy settings just sticking to their designated classes.

Neat little detail that half of Marcilles eyelashes were still gone once she got unpetrified.

certain species of mushroom do look like an erect penis,look up 'stinkhorn' if you must

Some of them also shoot goo as part of their reproduction. Although, considering fungi are older than land living animals, it might be more accurate to say that dicks are mushroom shaped.

The common stinkhorn's scientific name is the Phallus Impudicus, which translates to "a shameless penis".

And yes, it is edible, and is popular in France and Germany. And why yes, they do get used in sausages too.

It may have worked in the resurrection department, but it is not entirely clear that that was a good result. Her magic becomes much more powerful, and there is some indication that some part of the dragon's mind got mixed up with her own as well. The comic does not leave much room to explore this, but it is clear that she is not entirely herself any more.

The comic supports this idea elsewhere, too. It is mentioned that people resurrected using the flesh of animals will assume some of the characteristics of those animals in their behaviour. The strength of the soul may also increase the effect.

Man, Kabru sure is cold blooded. It's one thing to dispatch people who form an active threat... but summarily executing a guy who is already subdued and pleading for his life, that's pretty damn brutal. "Did the right thing", indeed...
