Parthenogenesis is a thing. A bunch of lizards can both mate the normal way and basically clone themselves, though admittedly it's the females who can do this in real life. Like I can see King Cold doing this in order to preserve the freak genetic mutation that makes him much stronger than most members of his race

I think Toriyama was just completely uninterested in Frieza's race or other things. Which is weird since it feels like Frieza became his favourite villain, considering the efforts he went to to bring him back and then put him back on top as the big bad.

Perhaps he regretted not saving Frieza until later in the series, or even that he was beaten too early.

I suppose that will just be another mystery. We'll never know if anything was planned to be revealed about Frieza's people beyond what Toriyama came up with about him and his father being mutants.

I don't know much about Toyatoro. How much of the Super manga was a collaborative effort between him and Toriyama? I know Toriyama was more heavily involved with the Super manga then he was the anime, but did Toyatoro steer the direction of the story at all?

[up][up] Toriyama was weird in that way, because he picked a lot of random things to expand on, like the Android's real names, and Buu's true origin (which I like) but there's a ton of things he never actually delved into that seemed important. But fanon is so strong in this community that people fully believed that Frieza's race was officially called the Arcosians or the Ice Demons.

To be fair, Arcosians and Frost Demons, as terms, didn't come out of nowhere. Arcosian comes from the old Funimation Dub of that filler episode where Kaio told a fake history of the Saiyans, and Cell did call them "Frost Demons" in Xenoverse. Though the latter one might have also just been in the dub.

Frost Demons is a fan term made up by Dragon Ball Multiverse that somehow got in the dub of Xenoverse.

Toriyama seems more interested in Frieza's character now, than his background and lore. It's possible he left some notes on his lore.

Like how King Kai in hindsight was so scared of frieza. He tried bullshittng to Goku about how the Saiyans were Beaten by a good man.

Though dang it must have been miserable for him. For decades he had to see Frieza do whatever hr wanted across the universe with no one stopping. At least post revival he seems to have toned it down.

I've said it before, but Zamasu was not wrong about the Kai needing to be more proactive against fighting evil.

Look, I know the REAL reason is because we have to have the main characters to everything, but the non-interference clause stretches disbelief sometimes when Frieza is allowed to act with Beerus' blessing.

I mean it's not like King Kai could do anything to him. Even if he tried. Up until Goku no one had ever reached that power.

[up][up]TBF that's Beerus being incompetent and lazy as usual. He didn't interfere where he should've with Buu and could've died and still doesn't cares

Yeah like theirs really nothing wrong with the current arrangement of Gods of destruction destroy evil and kais keep watch of creating new life.

It's just went terribly wrong on this universe.

I mean when you think about it one of the best ranked universes in the series has the G.O.D. sponsor a team of warriors to beat up evil dudes, like sure the Kais can't interfere but the G.O.D.s certainly can. And interestingly the ones in which the G.O.D.s are interfering seem to be doing a much better job than the ones where they aren't.

Dumbass question, could good Buu theoretically absorb Goku and undo it?

Because if he could, then you would have an OP as shit fighter with Goku Buu.

Just don't ask have him go Ultra Instinct or we'll have a white Buu and nobody would stop making jokes about that.

My headcanon: Icelings are Lamarckian but cannot reproduce on their own without sorcery or cloning. And yes, I went with Icelings, Arcosians makes more sense for the Heeters. This is all to explain how that filler episode could be wrong and yet right, what makes Cell Lamarckian AF, and why Frieza can be in charge of a planet trade organization with no actual transactions occurring. He delegated to Elec or whomever his predecessor was.

From a writing standpoint, I think Toriyama made the word building a bit too simple. Saiyans are warriors, until they need to have food servers, pilots and scientists. Namekians are mostly farmers despite not needing the food themselves, but there’s also some warriors, some white mages, and absurdly good spaceships compared to the rest of their technology despite having no apparent engineer class. And then you have Icelings, which are again all male because the people Toriyama knew must have been 97% male. This could not have evolved anywhere; they would have to have been bioengineered or magicked up. The most richly developed world, in terms of writing, ended up being Yardrat, completely by accident.

Tbf I think that filler episode in hindsight is clearly bullshit from King kai. And not meant to be taken as what actually happened.

I just woke up from this strangely vivid dream about a new Dragon ball anime that’s 200 years after Super.

The main characters were a Frieza clan member who settled on Earth, a Majin girl fleeing from the Red Ribbon army that came back for some reason, and Time Patrol Trunks.

The Majin girl was basically the second coming of kid Goku, even had the power pole and flying nimbus.

And then it turns out the main villain after the Red Ribbon army was defeated was a descendant of Goku who was like a 14 year old girl that took over the remnants of Frieza’s army and became an infamous space pirate who then went back to Earth to use the dragon balls to wish for the ability to turn Super Saiyan.

Man, that’s the last time I go on a sweets craze before I go to bed.

Okay, I vaguely remember what Goku’s descendant looked like. She had the red spiky hair with the green eyes, wore like a blue Gi with armor that looks like Frieza’s 1st form armor.

I THINK the dream ended with the Majin protagonist fighting her over the dragon balls in the ruins of the Red Ribbon army base. Goku’s descendant started losing, so she went for the ol “destroy planet with the Kamehameha” trick, and then the Majin protagonist fired a vanishing ball to counter it and I distinctly remember she was given a power up to make sure the vanishing ball stopped the attack by Goku’s ghost like the whole Father-Son Kamehamaha

Honestly, how would Goku and Vegeta react to the idea of Goku’s descendant becoming the new Frieza with the personality of Cell?

Seeing Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's take on the 23rd World Tournament just reminds me how much I would really like Toei to give the original Dragon Ball the Kai treatment. Or at the very least, put out brand new fucking Blu Rays.
