The whole point of the attack and the manifesto was to get people to play the blame game in order to further divide society and result in a full on race war. Whatever his political leanings this man is as close to pure evil as a human can get.

Dude he said Trump was a great symbol for white supremacy in his manifesto. He used several alt-right memes in his manifesto and in the video. He specifically targeted muslims (along with 3 other co-horts).

He is about far-right terrorist piece of shit as it gets and he isn't the only one. Elliot Rodgers, Aleks Minessian, so many others.

Incels, alt-right, racists, and nazis congregate in the-donald conspiracy and many other of the far-right hate subs.

Those subreddits have a lot of blood on their hands. Its a fact.

Yeah, uh, you can hate leftist forums as much as you want, but there just isn't any logical way to tie them to blood like there is with far-right subs. Here's a really good video on r/Braincels specifically.

I am not surprised. A random very obvious alt-right troper sent a PM with a slur in it to me on this forums before.

The lurkers and the people whom just change and edit stuff might have different politics they believe in from the people whom use these forums and also change things.

We might have to keep an eye on that. I have sadly seen a huge amount of innocent subs get completely hi-jacked by toxic folks. They are also completely wrong, Captain Marvel had a YMMV page for awhile.

Neither, it's an alt-right sub with all the circlejerking that you'd expect.

"Quarantined" iirc means the sub's still up, but it won't show up on Google or in Reddit's search results and you have to actively go out of your way to find it. It's just a slap on the wrist that'll make the community already there feel vindicated in playing victim, honestly.

Depends. From what I have seen any sub that gets quarantined pretty much has no chance of getting off quarantine and not being banned.

The only odd case of a sub that still hasn't been banned on quarantine is of course another alt-right sub aka r/braincels which is still somehow not banned right now despite obvious ban evasion and brigading.

The popular pessimistic thought on why Reddit took so long to finally do something about r/The_Donald is that those idiots made Reddit a shit ton of money and they were not willing to get rid of them until they caused a scandal which happened. Well that and Spez sounds like a piece of shit.

Although, in other good news. Two other alt-right/neo-nazi subreddits have been banned as well. R/unpopularnews and r/Clown Word War are now banned.

I honestly could never tell whether they were legitimate in their viewpoints or trolling.

T_d initially started out as satire making fun of Trump and his supporters but then some genuine supporters thought they were in good company and hi-jacked the subreddit and turned it into the cancerous monstrosity you see today. The hi-jack happened back in 2016 I think.

I have seen it happen to a few subreddits since.

And once again, Reddit ignores a rule-breaking, violent, toxic community until it draws outside attention (in this case, an article about how T_D was encouraging people to attack Oregon police for being "liberal.") I mean, better late than never, but doesn't do much to inspire faith in the admins.

can't lose faith in anything if you never had any in the first place.

I make this comment mostly because, I'm certain this had happened before with reddit.

Oh, it has. Famously, with r/jailbait, r/fatpeoplehate, r/watchpeopledie, and other such subs that should have been deleted long before outside pressure forced the issue.

The thing that annoys me about this is that The_Donald has been calling for violence against people for existing for a couple years now. Any of the subs, like r/topmindsofreddit or r/againsthatesubs, that catalogue alt-right subreddits like the_donald will show you that they call for violence regularly and there has been a couple would be terrorists that have been in that circle of hate.

Reddit did nothing though before now. Very recently a three alt-right meme subreddits sent a wave of death threats and rape threats to a child on Instagram for not knowing whom Keanu Reeves was on a Kids React video. Is Reddit looking at those horrid subs at all? As far as I know atm no they aren't.

Damage has already been done by these shitty subs....

Recently I've been hooked up to the Two Sentences Horror subreddit. This is the single most addicting subreddit I stumbled across and I posted several ones of my own.

It does get predictable soon, though.

Subreddit Drama, Murdered By Words and The Right Cant Meme are also very addicting subreddits

I haven't made an account yet but I've been lurking it a lot lately. I still prefer traditional forums, but it's way more convenient than making accounts for several different forums.

It's especially nice for relatively niche fandoms. I couldn't find a Yokai Watch forum (in English?) so r/Yokai Watch will have to do.
