Fictional Character(s) for a Best Friend

We have a thread for the characters we like to crush on, so I was wondering: which character do you wish was your best friend? Mine is White Beret Guy of xkcd fame, because of how hilariously weird and goofy he is. XD

Realistically speaking, Marigold from Questionable Content would be a good friend to have, or maybe Brun.

I want Scooby-Doo to be my friend! And also (alternatively) Detective Pikachu!

I really wish I could be friends with Caitlin Snow- we're both science nerds who can be a bit pessimistic, and even though she tries to suppress her emotions, she's still a very deeply empathetic person.

Definitely. Your username also reminds me that I'd love to be friends with Galadriel. She seems almost like the kind of person where even just sitting in silence together could still be a fulfilling, bonding experience, and with her being thousands of years old, she'd be able to offer advice for getting through almost any difficult situation.

For that matter, Luna Lovegood. She's the perfect mix of quirky and calm, and I think we'd get along well.

There's so many characters I would love to befriend. Too many to list. What's funny is that most of the characters I want to befriend have no friends in their original works. I don't really have any friends either.

Magilou’s Menagerie from Tales of Berseria, but especially Laphicet.

The Gaang. All six of them.

And Mai. And Ty Lee. And Haru. And Teo.

Hmm... the first that comes to mind is Genie, because you ain't never had a friend like him! (RIP Robin Williams)

For starters, almost everyone in The Lion King, The Nightmare Before Christmas (Oogie would be an awesome friend if he really wanted to be), and The Muppets.

Oooh so many, so many I can think of. I would say Goofy would be a good friend to have, he's really funny, quirky and so kindhearted. Sure he's klutzy but I wouldn't have him any other way.

Sonic the Hedgehog because me and him have the same kind of snarky humour and are more less are our own beings.

Detective Gumshoe, Chrom, Lucina, Belldandy from Ah My Goddess, The Genie from Aladdin, Twilight Sparkle, the list goes on.

The much more mature Ben and Gwen from Seasons 1 and 2 of Ben 10: Alien Force.

And Grandpa Max and Grandma Verdona, of course.

This is going to sound weird, but Azula after her breakdown. Not because I think she'd be a good friend (her struggle to display empathy puts that idea into question even if she doesn't entirely lack that ability), but because I think she needs a good friend so that she can heal and learn to trust again.

I want to go to a dinner theater or karaoke bar with Linda Belcher. Most of my RL friends tend to be older than me so it'd work.

In a "man's best friend" sense of the word, lately I find myself wishing I had an Eevee. I have a plush one I've been taking to bed with me (It's a little too small to comfortably cuddle up with, but I've been putting it under the covers on a pillow next to me).

Kronk because... come on, it is physically impossible to not like Kronk.
