As seen in the Do we have a project to disambig works? Ask The Tropers, there are many works pages that seem to need disambigs, by virtue of sharing names and having no differentiation.
This thread is for the discussion and listing of what to do about such pages.
See here for a list of needed disambigs.
The List
- Film.The Lost World
- Series.Utopia
- Series.Kidnapped (2006 NBC Cop Show) (20 wicks)
- Series.The Street
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront
- VideoGame.Star Wars Battlefront II
- WesternAnimation.Fantasia
- WesternAnimation.Max Steel
Similar Issues
- Then there is pages like The Host which is for the Korean film but has a bunch of wicks referring to the adaptation of The Host.
- Ransom: YMMV.Ransom only has Film entries, but Characters.Ransom is trying to be a disambig to Characters.Ransom Film and Characters.Ransom TV... Trivia.Ransom needs to be split.
- Film.Deadlands is conflicting with the Tabletop Game. Maybe move to its redirect, Film.The Dead Lands?
- Series.The Untouchables: It's holding multiple versions in there...

In that specific circumstance, yes. You recognize the series more easily than the episode because the overarching Myth Arc of the series (provided by the similar sets and characters) dominates compared to individual episode plots. It doesn't work for more episodic/anthology works, such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents or Out of the Unknown.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Yeesh, I forgot how many episodes were actually listed here before. I take back not being opposed to it, listing that many just looks bad. The episode list alone is almost twice as long as the rest of the page combined.
The point of disambiguation pages is to clear up misleading wicks, but that's not an issue with episodes because you have to wick the series page, and barely anybody wicks recap pages to begin with. Three of the episodes listed here don't even have recap pages, so those are extra pointless.
And none of the episodes listed here are from anthologies, so that's kinda irrelevant.
Film.Ad Astra and VisualNovel.Ad Astra have the same name; however, the latter is under development, so while the former can be moved to Film.Ad Astra 2019, what should be done about the latter? Should we do something like Adastra (Echo Project)? (The latter’s name is misspelled anyway— the title is one word, “Adastra”.)
Film.Compliance and Fanfic.Compliance have the same name as well.

back lolWicks to Film.Ad Astra and VisualNovel.Adastra can be formed without showing the same capitalization. It would be nice if the URL was accurate, but I don't see any need to disambiguate either. Link to TRS threads in project mode here.
Call "Home" a Stock Episode Title and point it there?

But, Main.Merlin is disambig for the Series, the Literature, and the Myth.
Redirect the Series to the Main?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I'd prefer to cut the Series/, but I can see why some others might want to keep the redirect.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I'm okay with cutting the page, as long as the wicks are fixed first.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.The only wick for Series.Merlin is now from the Ambiguity Index.
Do what you want, I just want this solved...
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I think that Series.Merlin should redirect, rather than be cut. After all, the page that was originally a disambig may still be accidentally linked to and if it was cut, people may not know as easily that it's a disambig to be correct, rather than just some redlink. Also, it could prevent accidental/stupid work page creation (unlike redirects in Main/ which should be cut, people can create such articles freely). In my opinion, Film.Uninvited redirecting to Uninvited was a pretty good choice, may as well do it here.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)So, still no consensus with Series.Merlin...
Well, how about Fanfic.Entropy? It's currently a Franchise.Sonic The Hedgehog fic...
There's Fanfic.My Hero Academia Entropy... Which, IIRC isn't how we disambig, usually it's Fanfic.Entropy My Hero Academia...
And then there's the WebAnimation.Entropy...
So, turn Main.Entropy into gathering all 3, moving the Sonic fanfic to Entropy Sonic, and the other to Entropy My Hero Academia, with Fanfic.Entropy redirecting to Main?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Well, you know what I think at least. As for Entropy, that course of action suggested by you is appropriate.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)WebAnimation.Entropy shouldn't be moved since original works get priority when it comes to disambiguation.
Keet cleanupThe Crucible and The Crucible are unrelated and should be split
—signature not found—- Not moving the Web Animation. I was discussing having the Main disambig to it.
- Not a problem. Use section labels for the sub-pages. Maybe use Anchor Text, and have redirects point to them as prep for future disambig plans or something.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Don't know much about the film, but its page says that it was released as Silenced in English-speaking territories, so that's the name we should use. Film.Silenced is a redirect, so someone clearly knew about the English name and didn't bother to move the page over.

I'll append the move to my post on the Locked Pages Thread.

So, what do we call that old Series? 1988, right, since that's its start year?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576There's at least two Films named Crash, and at least two books, too...
I was going to request that Film.Crash be moved to Film.Crash 2004, and the original page into this, but then I learned about more things called Crash...
* The [[Film/Crash1996 1996 adaptation of a 1973 novel]].
* The [[Film/Crash2004 2004 movie]].
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.
----
Or maybe make a Main redirect for it?
"Move Literature.Crash to Literature.Crash 1973, and turn the original page into this?"
* The [[Literature/Crash1973 1973 novel]].
* The [[1997 novel]].
Etc.
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.
----
Anyone got other things for a Crash Disambig? Maybe computer crashes or something?

TRS Wick CleaningQuestion: What do we do about disambiguating the many works named "Evil Genius"? We can't put the disambig at Evil Genius because that's a trope page.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.- Actually, we can, we just stick a folder very near the top, ala Dead Air...
Unless you disagree with that style and wanna find another way?
It does react to the Foldercontrol, but when I toggle that, my position on the page doesn't change, so it's fine...

I'm not opposed to it, I just don't think it's necessary. The very fact that they're episode names means the odds of them being confused with another work is incredibly low.
Like, with Home (Rivers) and HOME (2013), both are indie horror games with a pixellated art style, released within a year of each other. I could see people getting confused about those two, but I can't imagine anyone getting an episode of Battlestar Galactica (2003) confused with an episode of Revolution, for instance. You immediately think of the show name before the episode name.
