I feel confident in saying that scene alone accounted for 10% or more of sales either because of memes or actual interest by furries.
So in anyone here who's played the game yet, is it worth 70 bucks?
Cause I'm staring at the PS 5 edition.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).To the game's credit it is mechanically sound and fun to play. Story's not that incredible but overall its a fine game.
So it could easily stand on its own without all the fanservice controversy bullshit.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Its worth it, IMO.
It helps that this is a game where all the extra in game outfits are free and just need to be crafted with in game materials and in game money, no MTX bullshit with them here.

Watch Symphogear(2) People have been bitching about fanservice in video games since Dead or Alive; this ain't nothing new. I wasn't even paying attention until people in this thread brought it up.
Its nonsense anyway because the game just has a cutie with a booty mama with XL pajamas insert sexist comment here robot woman with a firm posterior. It's not sales-changing headline material. Tracer and Rainbow Mika didn't tank Overwatch or Street Fighter's popularity. Those franchises did that on their own.
But, jokes aside, what I do want to know is if the game is jank. It might be one of the few games right now I'd be willing to cough up 60 bucks for, but I can't do another broken Day 1 game with months of patches ahead.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I mean, I was able to go all the way to the end of the first chapter without any serious bugs at all, unless you count Eve's hair freaking out from time to time as a serious bug. From what I've seen and heard the game isn't perfect, it has some jank here and there, usually with the camera in my case, but it's a solid game nonetheless.
The music is stellar (heh), story's a little meh, voice direction could certainly have used a lot more polish. Adam in particular is so dull it's ridiculous. Eve is voiced by the fantastic Rebecca Hanssen—who voices Alfira in BG 3—in the English dub, but the difference in her performances between Alfira and Eve are night and day.
Also, man is it sad that I was able to kill Abaddon and Gigas with barely any health lost, but the mooks are apparently way harder for me. Those four-armed crickets are just the worst.

Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.I feel like that's a common trend in action games. Bosses? They can be tough, but a lot of their value is the spectacle. Its the mooks that'll kick your ass as the game progresses.
It'd also probably have to do with the fact that the bigger bosses have more telegraphed moves, so it's easier to time the parries against them. The smaller ones, meanwhile, tend to be more nimble, so any sudden movements by them tend to be more annoying to predict.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Checked out some posts on Resetera* and this game is apparently sold out EVERYWHERE in Japan so it's definitely got a huge market hold there.
- Contrary to expectations, a lot of posters there are REALLY enjoying the game a lot with a lot of people mentioning Plats and NG+7 runs.
Eve playing the Uno Reverse card
Most likely they are different people then the ones in any sort of game reaction threads there.
Resetera has various users. Its just the most bafflingly Neo Puritan ones that tend to give the site the bad reputation (That, and its so such a ban heavy site that its an echo chamber at points alongside being sold for chump change at one point).
and Some reviewers were saying Eve had no self awareness of the people that sometimes just leave the camera focused on her for "reasons". ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Watch SymphogearIf only she was recorded saying "See how do you like it"
Okay, but that makes it kind of weird that it was decided "Actually, we decided we don't like this" after the game had already gone gold, necessitating patching it. Were they adding more costumes up to the very last minute or something?
Also, this isn't new, he said this at the launch event, but also said that he knows it wouldn't be an answer that people would accept and is in talks about it later down the road.
That, and considering the Gore was censored too from the Demo, I feel like this is just corporate speak.
Watch SymphogearThis does feel like Sony putting a gun to his head and telling him to 'dance puppet dance'.
There's even hints to this in his Joint Interview with Yoko Taro where Yoko Taro asked him about how working with SIE was like and if they made any gobsmacked faces at Eve's looks and Kim said that "They're nice people"
Watch SymphogearIts kinda hard to believe that they would change their minds on outfits not being good after so many months of advertising already Like I guess it COULD happen, but seems like just someone mandated it and its pr talk
Can you set the PS5 to not automatically download patches though? People can just get around it that way, right?
Although, that becomes a problem with DLC, of course.

From the Stellar Blade twitter: "Get Ready for Next Week."
Will be in Cancun Mexico for vacation, I'll have to download it the week after, lol.

It would hold up simply on the fact that its basically a companion game to Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, really, especially as the collabs start happening with it.
