Daima might legitimately be the end of the Super era of Dragon Ball. Based on the subtitle change, I'm sure they originally intended for Daima to be the start of a new era after the Super era ended with Super Hero, but with Toriyama's death and the ages of most of the voice actors, Daima might end up being the last big Dragon Ball project that all of the Super-era people work on.
After Daima, I'm expecting them to take a several-year break from Dragon Ball content, to adjust and re-calibrate for a new direction with Toriyama's passing. And by the time that new direction starts, all the old voice actors will probably be too old to work on it, so the new direction might end up being a soft reboot of sorts, if not a hard reboot.

Yeah, the future of Dragon Ball is uncertain after Daima since we lost Toriyama but won’t Toyotaro be tapped as the new creative lead since Toriyama chose him as his successor?
Maybe I’m influenced by my weird dream, but it might be a good idea for Toei to consider something like Dragon Ball online. A setting like that has a lot of creative potential.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. That's all true, and there've been some deaths and retirements among the voice cast already.
Maybe its too late for a Kai-like reimagining, then. Still, I would like to see the original Dragon Ball acknowledged more often.
With Goku becoming a kid again, Daima definitely looked like it was going to be a love letter to that early era. I guess we'll have to wait and see how that develops now.
So wait, are Trunks and Goten also affected by the wish?
Oh my god, what about Pan and Bulla?

"I just need one of you to come here to give your life to the sun god. It will be for the monkey city's glory."It's a bit more complicated than that, considering the Dragon Room split off from Shueisha to become Capsule Corp, and that company is now the one pushing the anime and games. It's why so many people are confused on whether or not the DBS manga will be adapted in the future, since it's still being published under Shueisha.
Interestingly enough though, I do believe Toriyama's son works under Capsule Corp. He did help out on the last couple of movies.

Oh, Toriyama's son is in the business too huh? Neat.
So uhh, how did Mr. Satan watch the fights in the universe 6 tournament if in-universe, all the fights are faster than what regular humans can comprehend?

About the actors' ages, yeah, I don't think most of them are up to this anymore:
That's the crazy thing, Wakamoto has said before that he REALLY didn't like yelling when performing as Cell. So the fact that Cell Max does nothing BUT yell is kinda fucked in a sorta hilarious way.
Cell Max's yelling was legit scary though. Like, he sounded like he was in pain and was lashing out, it reminded me of an animal with rabies.
Wakamoto's getting up there in years, which is why he's been getting less and less roles in recent times, so maybe he's channeling that pain from Voice acting in Cell Max's roars.

Watch SymphogearThe Heroes twitter account is teasing a new machine announcement for Goku Day.
According to insiders, Heroes itself will end very soon, so this will supposedly be an entirely new Data Carddass Dragon Ball game. Fingers crossed Heroes cards are still compatible though...
It's still wild to me that Piccolo day is Goku day IRL.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.By the way Red, how far along are you in you're viewing of Super?
I understand from the Politics in Media Thread that you're in the Goku Black Arc, but what have you seen of it, exactly?
One Strip! One Strip!Noooooo i got a bunch of new Heroes cards when I was in Japan don't make them incompatible nooooooooo
Fingers crossed then. Technically Super Dragon Ball Heroes is a different game from the old Dragon Ball Heroes, and the latter's cards are still compatible with SDBH, so hopefully this new generation of Data Carddass will be the same.
Considering how wide the new machine is, I do have a gut feeling the new game will be HD, and will finally leave behind the Budokai 3 graphics. Later SDBH sets already had characters with Xenoverse-like character models, so it'd make sense to lean into that aesthetic (though with actual cel-shading).
The next generation of Data Carddass is here... DRAGON BALL SUPERDIVERS!
Just as I expected, HD Xenoverse-like models. Also, a pretty interesting display layout, never seen an arcade machine like it before. On an important note, they did announce that Superdivers will have a "SDBH Mode", which will let you use your old Heroes cards, check up on your old avatar, and play old missions.
So if you still have Heroes cards on hand, they are still worth something!

Still going through some of it. I've been occupied with some other stuff.
I've only seen that scene of Zamasu and Gowasu, I still don't know why there's a Zamasu in the future.

Oh boy.
So how are you all celebrating Goku day?

Knowing how hard it is to actually voice act especially in Dragon Ball which requires a lot of yelling and intense performances, I’m impressed she’s still doing the voices at her age.
But I really hope there’s no case of elder abuse and she’s doing this of her own volition.
Plus Toei making sure she’s well taken care of and paid.
