Yeah, the vagueness kinda annoyed me as well. Someone I know in a Discord server did something similar, where all she said was "wow Mike Pollock did a bad, check his twitter to find out"
Vagueposting just feels cheap.
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."In general I find them fun and breezy, but more importantly, they offer up lore that may not be easily fit into a game organically, tries to flesh out the world, and does what it can to clear up confusion about certain plot elements.
I think that if I had to make a choice between the humans we got in the past games and the generic forces character maker npcs, I'd probably choose the humans.
Like, animal side characters exist in most of the cartoons aside from X and they work there, but the games don't seem to be able to do that.
@Rabbitearblog: Tails Tube is generally well received for its very useful lore clarifications.
Also, Mike Pollack came forward.
The truth was EXACTLY as I thought.
tldr version: something meant completely innocuous -> free palastine crowd got aggressive -> snowballed out of control as he got mentally cornered (plus getting late at night doesnt help either). Him having a son at a campus where protestors got violent doesn’t help either.
Tailstube is pretty great. They’re basically loredumps, so they can get pretty explain-y sometimes, but they’re still very fun.

Edit: appears to be the Final name of Sonic Toys Party.

Sonic Mania really did Sonic 1 dirty. Only one zone and it's the most overused zone in the series. I think Hydrocity should've been Labyrinth since it would be funny (especially if Eggman sends Sonic there) and it's a chance to salvage the most hated zone in that game. Hell I'd have loved to have seen zones like Hill Top or Spring Yard.
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=unsaA8zSb2Q&pp=ygUJdGFpbHN0dWJl Okay this Tails Tube was pretty funny.
I mean, Sonic CD has pretty much dreamlike takes on the Sonic 1 zones, so Stardust Speedway/Star Light and Mechanical Madness/Scrap Brain sorta makes up for that.
I will forever like 1 more than 2 due to 1 being the first game I ever played, and I dig the "platformer that can go fast" more than "GOTTA GO FAST" approach; 3&K is the better game anyway.
Personally, I’m glad that for once they kept the Sonic 1 favoritism low.
That said, I still feel Oil Ocean was a weird choice for Sonic 2 rep.
I also feel like treating Sonic 3 and Knuckles as a single game gives it an unfair advantage when it comes to ranking the classic titles, even if nowadays there’s never any inconvenience getting both halves of the package together.

SoundCloudIt was always meant to be a single game tho.
Sure, but it cost twice as much to the players.
Definitely worth the cost, but that becomes a lopsided comparison.
SoundCloudDoesn't matter if it costs more, it's LITERALLY one game that got cut in two rather than take a hatchet to it like what happened to Sonic 2.
Also Mania actually managed to make Oil Ocean FUN, so it gets a pass there.
I replayed Sonic 1 last night. It's definitely the weakest game of the classics (though still better than most give it credit for) I have a soft spot for it. I've been on a Sonic bender recently so I'm also replaying CD, which feels like an acid trip.
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?I agree there. Marble Zone and Labyrinth Zone in particular bring the first game down a bit, but the core gameplay still set a strong foundation.
SoundCloudI think Sonic 1 really could've used one more zone, and/or a re-shuffling of the order.
Something that's less speediant then Green Hill and Star Light, but less patience-requiring then Mable and Labyrinth.
Basically, another Spring Yard, which I feel like does hit that sweet spot pretty well.
Implications of Tails Tube:
Shadow’s general motive is “the greater good”. Meaning his moral alignment is either good or neutral with good tendencies/good intentions.
Dang it, I was literally thinking that, but I guess I got cold feet in posting it or something…

"SHUT IT!"
Funny you bring that up, actually...the game DID get the level order reshuffled. Originally Marble Zone would've been third...and LABYRINTH ZONE second. We may not be here talking about Sonic today had both of those levels been together and immediately after Green Hill.
x5 I dunno, if Sonic Mania was to have a second Sonic 1 stage, I would kill for it to be Marble Zone. Yes, I actually like Marble Zone. I like its theme and aesthetics.
Robin: Don't ever ask me to dock with you again. Serious...The music in Marble Zone is straight up fantastic.
If I were building Shadow into a DND character, I would put him as "Lawful Neutral with good intentions" yeah.
I have a character like that right now, as a matter of fact.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Sonic Superstars is fine thus far. But you can tell it was made by Arzest. Things like the bosses being balanced around multiplayer without taking single player into account, multiplayer being an afterthought, the Chaos Emerald powers being an afterthought, and small details like being encased in a bubble not having an animation show a lack of care or attention. The Chaos Emeralds powers could be fixed by making them mandatory. Say you have the emeralds at the start but they're depowered. Completing special stages would restore the emerald and make it's associated power better. That way the game can be designed around the powers while still having special stages to get emeralds.

Yeah, a nonsense twitter thread that reads like it was written by poorly programmed AI is not as bad as what I was expecting. As to Mike Polluck, based on what was said here, I thought he may have gone off on anti-gay tirade calling for them to be banned or something. Instead, I gather he said something about conflict in the middle east. Honestly, being vague about what was going on just leads people to jump to the worst possible conclusions.
